Since this phrase has been said to death by a million different sportsmen, here's the original:
I win because I'm the first human across the line

heared this on a national Tour de France night show (NOS Avondetappe) where the host talked about a conversation white Sean Kelly
SK: A good rider is positief twice in his life.
the host: but Joop Zoetemelk was positief three times.
SK: he was a very good rider
may not be appropriate for the current situation, but I liked it when I first heared it

Chris Anker Sørensen is always ready with a good comment when being interviewed. A highlight for me was when a Danish journalist after a mountain stage asked him (directly translated):
Interviewer: How many energy do you have left?

Also Jacques Anquetil, after he won by 12 seconds

By that logic Kim Andersen must be the best rider ever. He was caught positive so many goddamn times that at a time when a positive was just "you lose the stage win and get 10 minutes added to your GC time, now go race" he actually got banned for a year

"When I thought I could put this year's festival of sprint crashes behind me, I see Roberto Ferrari has signed for a WorldTour team next year." - Mark Cavendish.
A few days ago. It made me chuckle.
And I'm trying to find the Wiggins quote where he compares Lance Armstrong to Father Christmas. |

He said:
'when you get older you start to realise Father Christmas doesn’t exist and it is the same with Lance.' |

Medical scrub New Era Snapback Hats were not considered as a crucial accessory for surgical purposes in older days. There is a sweep of hygiene focus in 1940 this also made medical scrubs an important and mandatory item within the agenda of health care industry However, wooden postcaps don't succeed in fully protecting the very best cut from damages. To help you protect both doctors and patients from germs sand hair loss issues during surgery scrub New Era Hats Wholesale became a regular item. With bearded men it became especially challenging to control their facial hair, so designers full hats to beat this issue. |
