Hi guys ,
Could you please shed some light on these please.
When you set up a relay can you set the pace/speed the relay will ride?
When your leader is PROTECTED,does he ALWAYS DO what the PROTECTOR does.ie PROTECTOR is on 82 DOT,PROTECTED rider is too.
The Button that says "Take this Spot".Does it mean take this spot behind the rider,if that rider accelerates ,your guy does too,or does it refer to "this spot in the Peleton"?
Thanks in advance. |

The protector will just stay in front of the protected rider until he runs out of energy, you remove the protection or you attack with the protected rider.

The % defines how long he will work in the relay, it also somewhat defines the speed.
"Take the spot" means the position in the peloton, not a certain rider.
If you want that your rider follows another rider, you can observe him. |

How do you OBSERVE another rider?
Thanks again for your speedy replies,I feel like Im s l o w l y making headway in this game..LOL |

Yes. When you protect a rider, the protectors effort bar is irrelevant. He will put in whatever effort is needed to stay infront of the protected guy. If your protected guy it at 75 effort, your protector will have an effort value slightly higher to ensue he stays in front of the protectee (hense why they run down energy much faster). |

Another rookie question... How are tiebreakers determined? I had one of my riders tie for the GC and was awarded 2nd place and in a different tour had a rider tie for Mountain jersey and was awarded 1st place. What breaks the tie? |

I think it's the stage ranking of the last stage... At least that's at the GC. Don't know about Mountain, sprint & Young jersey...

My rider won the last stage in this case. I'm wondering if the points finish determines the winner. I was thinking it was cumulative placing in all stages but they were tied in that as well. The tour was Criterium International. The results were:
Stage 1 (Flat)
Peraud (AI winner): 46
Roche (my rider): 43
Stage 2 (Prologue)
Peraud: 1
Roche: 6
Stage 3 (Mountain)
Peraud: 3
Roche: 1
So the cumulative finish was 50 for Peraud and 50 for Roche. Peraud finished ahead in points, 41 to Roche's 35. |

Its goes to results. Most 1sts, then most seconds, then most 3rds. You both had one first place finish, so it goes back. You next best finish was 6th and his was 3rd. Hense he has better placings. Its not strictly related to points (as intermediate placings wouldnt count for GC) but probably generally works that way. Basically its rewarding the rider that has ridden harder, as you can finish with same time in the pack but front to back could be more then 2 minutes depending on how strung out it is. |

In PCM 2012 that feature is no more, I believe. |

Nope, I think that is no more...
But, you can measure the time difference between two riders, with a right click on a rider+clicking on the clock and then doing that with another rider...
That's very useful at e.g. a mountain stage, when there are many groups
Don't think that's where you're after though...

I'm not sure this is a rookie question but, do you know if PCM is updated automatically on steam?
