Please help the Rookie

Hi guys, only just got into pro cycling after TdF and bought this game.
The game loads ok,I select a stage etc etc then when I go to 3D race simulation the graphics are so slow.It takes maybe 20 seconds to zoom into the start and there is a maybe 2 second lag on the cursor which is impossible to control.
Is there a technical way to speed up the graphics and make the game run smooth?
I am a computer numpty BTW.
My PC spec graphic card is 256MB DDR2 ATI Radeon HD 3650.
Please help,

In the Settings / Options try toning down the Graphics

Whatever you want to see in game
However with those settings I would tone most things down to 1 |

I suggest start with everthing on the lowest and see if that works fine for you. and then make one graphic one higher in which ever you find important. until you think it isn't playable anymore

I'd recommend that you begin by unticking these boxes:
Reflection in the water
Depth of field
Activate 3D clouds
One texture per rider
Rider faces

Hmmmmmmmm,
Now it crashes and doesn`t even get to the race part it crashes on the first "orange bar "Stream" across the bottom of the screen.
Then the screen goes super big and a box comes up with
Lgxprd32 display driver stopped working normaly.
Please help

that's strange, because putting graphics on low should mean it starts working

Thanks guys my fault I unticked one of the boxes.
Ive got it to run faster but still a little difficult controlling the cursor.

Your computer is not enough for the game. Try running it with everything at the lowest. |

Thanks for all the help guys.
I turned off everything and it works fine now,not ideal,but I thought it would be nip and took with my PC specs.
Just happy I can play it .
