Combine two stories?

As most of you know, I enjoy story writing a lot here, and I mostly have the time to do it right, I think. But the thing is, I've never yet been successful in writing two stories at the same time. I'm very motivated to start something new (concrete plans), but of course, I'm also motivated to continue my current story (Roberto), so does anyone have any tips on how to successfully combine two stories? I'd like to do them both, but I don't want to start something if it's dead already before it started.

I think I'll do it a bit like Daggen, said, but not with days. More with periods.
For example, a period in Roberto's story would be the Vuelta. Then a period (a group of races) from other story, and then back.

I'm just gonna give it a go. If it shouldn't work out, I'll keep Roberto and save the other story for the future! After all, we still have years and years on this site Pfft

My only warning is that it can be hard to find the motivatiob to run two, because it often feels like you're getting no where with either,just be careful not to lose interest in both Smile
