Crash - i really need your help, guys!
MCSPantani
Hi everybody.
I know there's tons of topics regarding this issue, but, believe me, i've read them all...it's not lazyness Smile

i'm having a lot of trouble playing pcm11, because it crashes in, almost, every stage. I've been playing pcm since "cycling manager 2", so i'm used to cyanide and the most common bugs and fixes. So, i've tried everything: re-install the game, re-install the patch, re-install pcm update, lower graphic settings almost below zero...you name it...but still have the same problem. The last try i've made, e played it in window mode instead of full screen in order to follow "live" the ram usage, by running SmartRAM. and the game crashed in the last 500m while the RAM usage was 1,1Gb!!! 1,1Gb and it crashes?!?!? what the f*#*?!? what happened to the 1,8Gb bug? I have a top performance laptop, and i dont know what else to do! It crashes 90% of the stages, even in ITT.
This "smells" like bad installation of the pack, but i would like to hear from you guys.

Thanks in advance!

I doubt that it is a faulty installation, else it would crash before or while loading the stage, also it would crash 100%.

Did you ever tried to turn off the recording of the replay.

Thanks Lachi.

Yes i've done it before, with the same result.

I also tried the official db, the pcm db, a custom db...and nothing new happened.

And its a bit more strange because i was abble to finish some stages (randomly), but most of them it's impossible, with no pattern whatsoever. It crashes at the beginning, middle, end of the stage...and sometimes i can't even start the game...it crashes when i start the application!

That's why i dont think it's the RAM memory...

And i can't get any error report.

What kind of crash is it anyway? Did you only monitor the RAM usage or other factors also? For example you should check the temperature of the CPU and GPU.
