I will post a summary of each week now, beginning with my game, and then headlines around the league. Do not expect them all at once, maybe 2 or 3 a day, until I catch up with where I am at right now.
DOLPHINS PRESEASON 2012
Week 1 - Vs. Tampa Bay -- LOSE 24-38
Week 2 - @ Carolina -- LOSE 22-43
Week 3 - Vs. Atlanta -- LOSE 13-34
Week 4 -- @ Dallas -- WIN 30-3
WEEK 1
Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans
SUMMARY -- The first game of the 2012 season! We learned many things from this game. The most important of all was that the Dolphins were ready to play this season. We learned that the Fins were definitely going to be a RUSHING team this year, and the passing game would need some major work. The Defense was outstanding in most parts, and the Dolphins were able to hold off the Texans and squeak by with a 21-18 win!

SPECIAL REPORT - We have some horrible news this week, star RB Reggie Bush, who was 3rd in rushing yards coming into today's game, was injured late in the first quarter, and was taken out of the game. We were notified later in the game that it was serious, and it would be serious enough to keep him out of competition for the remainder of the season. Hip Fracture was the diagnosis, and we hope that he can return next year, on a freshly resigned 3 year contract.

SPECIAL REPORT - This past week we heard reports of QB Ryan Tannehill being booed in practice. He ranked last in passing, and his stats for the year were: 85/149 for 970 Yards, 9 TD, 11 INT, 66.1 Passer Rating. The coaching staff finally took note of this, and the chance they took drafting Ryan Tannehill looked like it was indeed the wrong one. They have decided to put Matt Moore in the starting spot this week, after he went 6-3 in the 9 games he started last year. Things did not start out too well, as the Fins lost. Matt Moore had the following stats: 18/33 for 158 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 64.9 Passer Rating. Worse than Tannehill, but he had only played one game. The staff decided to start him next week.

MATT MOORE UPDATE - A win is a win, and while it may not be pretty, we came out with one. Moore did not that bad, posting a 97.3 rating, the second highest of the season for the team. Only 81 yards, but only 11 attempts, of which 9 were completed. 0 INT's also! Moore will remain the starter until further notice.
So the season is more than halfway over, and as you can see, the team is relying on the running game to win. The Dolphins have won every game in which their opponents have had less rushing yards. The Dolphins are now 6-5, and still in the running for the division with foe New England, who they will face in week 13! STAY TUNED!!!!!! Report is coming soon!

Miami, FL -- When you look at the Dolphins season, there have been some major ups and downs. The season started off very strong, and then the QB troubles came back, and the season went downhill. Remember the days of Dan Marino? Well, that was the last time that the Dolphins could say that really had a QB, besides the season in '08 when Chad Pennington started every game, leading the team to the playoffs for the first time since '00. The Dolphins welcomed rival New England to town this afternoon, and it could not have been any better! Lets kick off the action in the first quarter. The Patriots QB Tom Brady entered the field first, and the stats looked VERY impressive. 2,009 yards on the season, 20 TD's and just 3 INT, the exact opposite of Miami. Success. That is what New England has had with Brady over the past years. The first quarter was very blare, empty as some would say. No scores, Punt after Punt after Punt. The Dolphins managed to get 9 passing yards, and -6 rushing yards. The Patriots defense came out swinging, but the Dolphins defense did not back down either. This leads us into the second quarter, Tom Brady and Wes Welker have had magic all year, and they connected on a 9 yard pass after a 63 yard pass to score a TD, giving the Pats a 7-0 advantage. The Dolphins were finally driving on their next possession, as they managed to set up Dan Carpenter for a 49 yard FG attempt on the left hashmark. He missed it, WIDE to the right. Battling 24MPH East winds, you can easily see that he aimed straight for the middle of the goalpoast, and the ball went flying right. The Patriots were not able to capitalize on the excellent field position, leaving the score at 7-7 come halftime. The Patriots got the ball to kick off the third, and Brady was driving, at the NE 35. Then, the unexpected happened. Remember earlier when I mentioned Brady only throwing 3 INT's all year!? Well, none of them were taken back for a TD. Both changed in a matter of 10 seconds. R. Marshall of Miami had plans, and intercepted a Brady screen pass, taking it 29 yards the other way for a Touchdown! Dolphins tie the game at 7 apiece. Lets motivate to the 4th quarter, where again, the offense had trouble moving downfield on both sides. Matt Moore threw an INT, deep into their own territory, and New England was in the red zone to begin the drive, tied 7-7 in the 4th. The Dolphins defense never backed down, and held the Pats to a 20 yard chip shot by Gostkowski, setting the score at 10-7 NE with just under 6 minutes left. Miami managed a good PASSING drive, yes, passing! They were stopped at the NE 34, and were forced to bring Dan Carpenter for the game tying 47 yard attempt. Off to the right a bit, there was no holding back, as he put the ball right in between the uprights, and it was 10-10! New England is known for coming back late in games, did they have another drive that could set up a game winning FG!? NO! They were forced to punt with just under 2 minutes left, Dolphins with 2 timeouts, and were set up at the NE 48 after a solid punt return. Miami began with a screen pass to Daniel Thomas, which he took 16 yards, setting up a 1st and 10 at the NE 21. They ran the ball, forced NE to call timeouts, and managed to get a first down. Just 30 seconds left, and Miami set the ball up in the middle of the field. Dan Carpenter was sent out to attempt a 24 yard chipper, and he made it! The Dolphins won as time expired 13-10.

My Dear Watson
Versatile Nebraska DT Davion Watson is starting to make his way on to scouts' radars, could go early in first round of upcoming draft
One For The Books
No matter what the offense threw at him, they could not slow Detroit Lions Louis Delmas down en route to an NFC defensive player of the week award
(6 Tackles, 1 INT for a 40 yard return TD)
One For The Books
Richard Marshall no doubt got a game ball after his performance for the Miami Dolphins, and now he has an AFC defensive player of the week award to go with it
(1 INT for a TD)
Feeling Good
Ray Lewis is back in the driver's seat and will be activated for the next Ravens Game
Crossing The Line
Darren Sproules rushed for 2 Touchdowns during the Saints 34-24 win over the Falcons.
Run For It
The Miami Dolphins defense turned in 4 sacks as they buried Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in a 13-10 win
TWITTER FEED
LaVar Arrington @LArringtonEA:
The Dolphins Defense had all the answers against an under-performing Patriots O-Line, tally 4 sacks.
Mark Schlerth @MarkSchlerthEA:
A win's a win, and ask the Dolphins right now and they'll say it's even sweeter because they're at home.
Trey Wingo @WingozEA:
Good season continues for Roddy White as he eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving this week.
Chris Mortenson @mortreportEA:
Multiple scores by Darren Sproules leads #Saints to victory this week.
Robert Flores @RoFloEA:
Fantasy owners, be sure to say thanks to Mark Sanchez -- or curse his name if you had to go H2H against him.
Ross Tucker @RossTuckerEA:
Been fun watching a perfectly balanced running system in Kansas City this year.
Skip Bayless @SkipBaylessEA:
Nothing better than seeing a rushing attack that just dominates the game. Passing isn't the only option!
Mark Schlerth @MarkSchlerthEA:
It's not a coincidence the Chiefs have done this on the ground. Great blocking, great talent.
Ross Tucker @RossTuckerEA
I don't think Reggie Wayne is ever satisfied so he won't give a second thought 1,000 yards.
Mark Schlerth @MarkSchlerthEA:
Coaches love a guy like R. Matthews who can go out and get you constant yardage on the ground.
Ross Tucker @RossTuckerEA
1,000-yd rushers aren't what they used to be, but it's not like you don't want D. Murray on your team.
Trey Wingo @WingozEA:
1,000 yards for Alfred Morris, and would you really be surprised if he just keeps on trucking?
Mark Schlerth @MarkSchlerthEA:
Scary good performance by Richard Marshall on defense this week. #AFCPoW
Matt Miller @MattMillerEA:
Get in on the ground floor on DT Davion Watson. You'll want him starting for your NFL team next season.
