So, Park, Tuulhangai and Samai already have their championships sown up. J. Ji should be able to make it hard enough on the last hill to win the chinese champs, In Hong Kong, Tang is probably favourite. Othman is the strongest from Malaysia.
Haidar Anuawar, Rosdi, Li and Wei form our break today.
Oz and Meji are the only teams with multiple riders, and with both of them represented in the break the gap quickly grows to 11 minutes with 65km left.
We start the climb for the final time with Li vs Wei for China, and Haidar Anuawar vs Rosdi for Malaysia. All the Hong Kong riders are in the peloton.
They go over the top together. Wei is the best climber of the 4 with just 60 Hill, so it's not surprising no one went for it. Li and Haidar Anuawar are the better sprinters.
Wu, Tang and J.Ji attack clear of the peloton.
Tang puts in a massive effort to try and drop Wu, putting himself in pole position to win the HK jersey, J.Ji is with him.
Over the top Tang has dropped Ji as well.
Wei is forced to lead out the sprint
Li makes a move from third place
and takes the lead, surely winning himself the Chinese jersey, Haidar Anuwar looks better placed for Malaysia
Rosdi is coming at him.
And Rosdi accelerates clear, winning the whole race, and becoming Malaysian champion. Li gets the Chinese Championships with his second place.
Hard work on the descent allows Wu and Ji to join Tang.
All three start to sprint
Tang initially looks the strongest.
And is the strongest, holding on to take an excellent victory.
