The game was working fine for me up until last thursday, then when i turned it on friday, on start up the microsoft windows icon and pcm is not working, doesnt even reach the videos and it crashes....
Have uninstalled and reinstalled and even took all the files out of the registry before reinstalling and still no good. Got no idea how to fix it. |

Got to give more detail. Did you do something to the game or operating system that may have caused it to stop working? |

Have you tried deleted folder in appdata/roaming/pro cycling manager 2012 after you unistall the game? Try to delete that folder, unistall the game and see if it runs. |

the pcm.exe file IS the game. This file cannot be the problem because else it would have never worked.
Maybe the local.cdb file is corrupt. Replace the file in My documents\pcm12\ (I am not quite sure where exactly it is, but you should find it eventually).
If you are playing with the pcmdaily expansion pack, you can find a good version of the local.cdb file in the support thread. Else copy the file from C:\...\pcm12\ |

I never wrote down at what exact moment the game crashes when that file was corrupt. Instead of asking such questions you could just try it.

Did you try deleting the PCM folder in My Docs/Application Data?
You can find it by typing %AppData% in the Start Menu's search bar. |

Try this:
1. Uninstall the game
2. Delete the pcm12 folder in C:\Program files(x86)\
3. Delete the pcm12 folder in %Appdata%
4. Rename the pcm12 folder in My documents
5. Install the game
6. Try to start the game
7. Install the patch
8. Try again |

Can you please confirm that you did steps 2, 3 and 4. Or couldn't you find some of these folders? |

Sorry but that tells me nothing.
I still cannot believe that the problem continues after you have re-installed and reset the game.
In my opinion it must run again. So the problem could be somewhere in your computer rather than the game. |

I do also have this problem.. Really frustrating.
When I press "Ctrl-alt-delete" and I go in to the "processor" it shows the game is running but the screen with the game, just doesn't "pop up".

This same thing happened to me. Try ending the process in the task manager then delete the local.cdb file then restart the game. This is what worked for me and I had to do it many times when I first started playing the game. |
