The Slovakian nationals are run over a fairly tough up and down course.
The 13 riders are dominated by the presence of 7 Samsung Mol rider.
However no one Slovakian has stood out for that team and much of the cycling hopes rest on the Velits and Sagan brothers. Peter Velits began to break through this season and he is the double national champion.
However he has to deal with team tactics and one of the riders in red leaps off the start line and goes on a long solo effort.
Patrik Tybor is looking to make a name for himself. The 25 year old is a not really anything type of rider - perfect for today when no-one seems to be in the mood to do anything.
The riders decide to soft tap it and give Tybor his day.
Tybor's lead gets up to 25 minutes and he laps the field, some of his SaMol teammates high five him on the way past.
It's not really much of a win to most but it probably means the world to Tybor, he who dares wins you might say.
Behind you can see why the big guns didn't bother they didn't have the legs as Jurco beats the Sagan boys in the sprint for second.
