Sky have failed in their quest for a big name rider. This is mainly thanks to some shrewd dealing by Leopard-Trek and the other teams not being willing to sell. They had also agreed a fee for Vincenzo Nibali but the transfer window closed too soon. They are happy though with the other transfers they made though and hope to have success in their first season.
