Several teams have a strong British focus, so, on a hard course, this should be a good race. Bellis, Dowsett and Diggle are favourites. Rapha have two teams here, so could be a real threat.
Holohan, Tanguy, Thomas and Page form the break. Without a Rapha rider it is surely doomed.
McNally crosses the gap.
with 110km to go Ben Swift attacks the Rapha led peloton. The gap to the break is over 4 minutes.
95km to go, and now McEvoy goes on the attack. The break are now 5 min ahead
Swift is very strong, and easily bridges to the breakaway.
80km to go, the gap is 6 minutes, and Rapha start the chase for real.
McEvoy makes it across to the break.
Rapha force a split with 60km to go. The front peloton of 27 contains all 14 Rapha riders
Up front, the hills have cracked Thomas
The peloton is down to 20, with 40km to go, and the break pegged back to 2 minutes. Rapha have started losing domestiques though.
Rapha now have decides it's every man for himself. Dowsett attacks, while Bellis stays on the front.
Bellis chases after his teammate, and amazingly Rapha find themselves outnumbered in the group of 7 that forms. With Bellis are: Appleby (Rapha), Diggle, Bibby, Tiernan-Locke (Wiggle) and Faires and Cummings (Pendleton's) All three teams also have 1 man up the road.
Downing pulls Richardson, Partridge and Froome up to them, as Bellis throws in an attack
Up front, Dowsett is shredding the break
Bellis and Froome join Dowsett, Swift and McEvoy up front.
Swift cracks with 15km to go, as Dowsett attack again.
Bellis and Froome are now together chasing him.
10km to go and Bellis is pulling Dowsett back
Dowsett is strong, and with Froome not helping Bellis can't see to shut this down.
The descent allows the three to come together with 5km to go.
3km to go, both Dowsett and Froome start to sprint, Bellis is happy to sit in Dowsett's wheel.
Happy, or dead, as Bellis starts to let the gap grow
Bellis tries to close the gap
But Dowsett takes a well deserved victory. There was one moment where it looked like Rapha had messed up, but in the end it was a comfortable 1-2-3 for Rapha.

The time trial is obviously between Tennant, Stannard and Wiggins.
Bibby sets the target with 1h14'21"
Tennant is first of the three big guns, but he falls 7 seconds short
Wiggins can't beat Bibby either, coming in at +6"
Stannard does deliver though, winning the championship by 21 seconds
