Several months ago a press conference was held in which the team's manager announced a new partnership with a major international company. This deal was contingent upon winning a spot in the Pro Tour for 2013. That spot is won, and we are happy to welcome to the family the fine folks from Heineken. California Giant, Specialized, Oakley and SRAM have also re-upped for the season. ANFreeman graciously undertook the task of creating the jersey. It is, as you can see, fantastic.

The question of the team's nationality was the subject of a short conference call with reporters. When asked if Dutch riders would be brought into the team, manager Levi4life responded with, "Yes, but not because they are Dutch. If our sponsors think we are starting over then they will be disappointd."
There is a rumor going round that Keil Reijnen has attracted the attention of one of the new CT teams. Is there a chance he could be moving to new grounds for the 2013 season?
In a recent exchange betwixt the managers of Heineken and Boeing pertaining to the availability of Kiel Reijnen, messer Life is reported to have flatly refused. At this point messer Missle then said, 'well that's disappointing' to which messer Life retorted with 'that's what she said.' Its also reported that messer life was drunk and that Reijnen may indeed be available.

Argentinian press has stated that the Haedo brothers want to ride together next season. Aker - MOT's manager wonders if it'll be possible to buy the elder brother from Heineken, or if Heineken wants to buy the younger one from Aker - MOT. He also says he'll let the younger brother leave, if the elder brother and Heineken want him on their team. Does Heineken have any comment to the Argentinian press?
Congrats on the Benoit Sinner win. Could he potentially be interested in joining the Festina setup, where two of the medalists of the French Championships ride?
The Slovenian press is talking about a potential interest of Pivovarna Laško over Slovenian rider Kristjan Koren. This was recently published:
The last name that's being stronly rumoured to be a target for the Slovenian team is Heineken's Kristjan Koren. The timetrialist, who recently became national champion in his specialty, would be a great addition for the team, but it's unclear whether the newly promoted Heineken team would let who was their biggest pointscorer last season go.
Any comment in this regard from the American team's staff?
For Sinner, the option of leaving is open to discussion. However, a rider swap would be the best deal for the team.
For Koren, he is part of the long term plans for the team. A Slovenian contingent is very much on the cards. We also recognize that Pivovarna Laško would like to have a TT champs jersey. A deal could be worked out.
Unable to keep it in any longer, Heineken presented by California Giant Berry Farms is happy to announce the team's goals for the upcoming season. Some of these goals might seem a bit ambitious, but we feel it is well within our capabilities to achieve. 3 of the goals were created with Filippo Pozzato in mind. He has a history of top results in Milano-San Remo, including a win. The story is similar in regards to the Tour of Northern Europe. He is the defending champion after his time on loan with Festina. Strada Appia Antica is a newcomer to the Pro Tour, and therefore a relatively unknown quantity. It is our hope that the rather ominous looking hill and cobbled roads will sift out enough riders that a podium position is possible. A top 5 in the Tour de France will be one of the more challenging goals, as the team first needs to hire a rider capable of achieving this result. Eastman is not quite there yet. A top 10 in the team standings is likely to be the most difficult result, as Heineken will need to do some crazy good business to avoid the drop, but hey, aim for the stars and you might get a few feet off the ground.
Win: Milano-San Remo
Top 5: Tour de France
Top 10: Team Standings
Top 3: Strada Appia Antica
Top 3: Tour of Northern Europe
In recent talks, five riders were not offered extensions to their contracts. Easily the biggest name on the list is Sammy Sanchez Gonzalez. Sammy is a gold digger, nuff said. Luis Pasamontes follows on Sammy's heels, but for different reasons. Pasamontes is aging quickly and perhaps it is best that he spends the twilight of his career at a lower level. Long time servants Tom Zirbel, Ben J-M and Will Frischkorn also join the exodus. The highest paid rider on the team appears to be Benoit Sinner. Just as the twinkies went to his hips, the win in the French National Championships appears to have gone to his head.
Hey, guys, I'm going through the same numbers for round 2 the last 3 hours, should have been in bed a long time ago and can only focus on small phrases without context anymore
A gaggle of reporters mobbed the manager of Heineken presented by California Giant Berry Farms, asking for the team to release wage data. Management seemed reluctant, even though this information will be public in due course. Heineken's manager responded to this pressure:
Juan Jose Haedo 120,000
Pieter Ghyllebert 60,000
Benoit Sinner 55,000
Arnold Jeannesson 85,000
Filippo Pozzato 700,000
Bernardo Colex 50,000
Kristjan Koren 250,000
Alex Howes 50,000
Ryan Eastman 215,000
Steven Cozza 50,000
Thomas Peterson 50,000
Peter Stetina 55,000
Taylor Tolleson 85,000
Tyler Brandt 60,000
Ethan Weiss 50,000
Kiel Reijnen 50,000
Heineken is rumored to be pursuing a puncheur in the upcoming transfer season. Several Spaniards, several Belgians, an American, a pair of Germans and, surprise surprise, several Dutch options being scouted by management. Management denied that this was the case, reiterating that the top target for the silly season was a stage race specialist.
