Haven't been on the site for a long time, so please forgive if there is a similar topic already active.
I throughly enjoy the game, especially trying to break records in career mode. These records could be anything: GT's wins; Merchx's Milan-San Remo record; Cipo's Giro wins. Just wondering what some of the records that people on here have achieved?
To kick things off, I recently won Giro-Tour double in 3 consecutive years with Andy Schleck, beating Indurain's record of twice. |

Incredible!
Anyone attempted/achieved to break some of Merchx's records?
Either:
64 GT stage wins
19 Monuments
33 GT + Monument + WC
Each Monument at least twice |

Merckx was a beast
In my current story I'm riding with a created rider who will go for some records, but it'll be hard beating any of those. |

Never mind that. I still have no idea how I am meant to get the ingame achievement of 50+ wins in a season with one rider. Short of just not taking Cav to any GT and have him race in tons of flat low level races. Which seems a little bit like cheating.
EDIT: Oh, and at some point I want to get a good young rider to beat the lance record. Thats gonna be a looooooong term project though.

You should include the difficulty level with your records. Winning 12 stages in a GT at easy or normal level is definitely easier than winning 1 or 2 at extreme difficulty

Oh, I just remembed, once I attempted to win all 3 Grand Tours in one year (with a scouted talent), unfortunately he failed at the Tour. The next year he tried again, successfully! That also put him right up there with Merckx: 11 GT wins. (He had already won a few Giro's, Vuelta's and a Tour) |
