Hello guys,
is there any good reason why the PCM4 Startlist tool won't run on my new Win7-computer after running perfectly fine using Win Vista?
I have downloaded the additional stuff (SQL and NET whatever) and installed that, but now I get an error saying something is wrong with the "DevIL.NET" file. The file is there, it is in the correct directory and so on.
Any ideas? |

Did you already google the error message you got? You might be more lucky through google because not many might know a fix here. |

Yes I did, initially not finding anything. Now I did it again and found a newer version of the file - now I get another, unfortunately more cryptic message, which is not readable as there is only a blank were the filename should be. Looks like I won't get it to run on this system then - going to do my startlists by hand then, which kind of sucks. |

Did you already tried to run it the tool in Windows Vista or XP compatibility mode?
Right click it >> properties >> compatibility |

Yes, same error message.
But anyway a big thank you for your help - hadn't dared to hope someone would be willing to help with a PCM 2008-related problem at all. |

Had tried the admin thing before, didn't work. Neither did Windows safe mode, which I tried now.
In any case, I can start the tool, but as soon as I click on "New blank startlist", I get some exception saying that something was "no Win32 application", but this something is just a blank. |

Another option would be to install a virtual Windows XP, see here: https://www.micros...nload.aspx
But maybe you just installed the tool wrongly? |

Well I have found out that it has something to do with Win32 v Win64 and something with x86, but I have to admit that's where my understanding of these things stops and I have no clue what it means and how to solve that problem.
Guess I'll give up - thanks again everybody for your help! |

If you have to change to 64 bits, try to right click the mouse on the desktop and search for graphics properties and change from 32 to 64. If it is 16 change to 32 and try it. |

@Miguel98: 32bit and 64bit has nothing to do with graphics.
@Jackal: If your computer is now running on Windows 7 64bit, then the link I posted might help. |

Unfortunately, all I get is "You are not eligible to download" because I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium and not Professional or anything like that. |
