Approximately 60% of all ranking points on off in the Continental tour were found in Europe this season, so clearly some strong results here were vital for overall success. But as the standings show, too great a focus on Europe was not the way to go - Bianchi 5th in Europe, Rapha 10th and Jayco RedBull 21st!
Venchi are the team who come out on top - Cesare di Maggio is the Individual European champion, and they are the best team. They scored 3110 in Europe which represents almost all of their points.
Pokerstars are a close 2nd, within 100 points, while UniCredit take 3rd and TCS Bank 4th. Trilux and Bpost are two more teams who saw most of their success in Europe, while Cal Giant and Vespa also make the Top 10. Vespa's Ginanni and Pozzovivvo also place highly in the individual standings - taking 3rd and 4th.
Jose Alarcon must settle for 2nd in the European individual standings - taking more than half of Aker Solution's European points. 5th place means that Rujano completes the Italy-Venezuela domination at the top of the Individual Standings.

Pleasing performances from both Pozzovivo and Ginanni - both quality riders who delivered. A few more race days each and may have been able to snatch the overall rankings here.

Nearly raced all my races in Europe to manage my top 5 goal, which I did. And I'm excited to win both the individual and the team ranking!

I don't think I had hardly any races in Europe last year. It is certainly the centre of the cycling world and the top 25 individually would likely do well in a Protour team.
Ignatiev, Boom and Reus quite evenly matched - whilst Alarcon proves king over Pozzovivo, Rujano. Three of the most expensive riders in all the ManGame!
What a season for Di Maggio, though Ginanni has had one to remember also outscoring LL Sanchez and Valverde.
Any duds - well all together now ... Vantomme
