Has anyone noticed that the peloton seem to always pull back the break? I know I'm playing s a continental team but can't seem to ever get a break to stick |

I have almost never seen a stage where there was no break.
Normally the first break will not be able to get away but one of the latter will.
So what is you problem?

only in pcm 12 ive noticed, i can alway get a break to get away but they never stay away, its most likely cause im racing continental with low stats on my team but its frustrating to say the least |

I think his problem is that the breaks are wheeled in before finish - not in the beginning of the race. |

Well, it also depends what races you ride. In most one-day races the breakaway won't make it, but in stage races, you'll see that the breakaway can make it, if they aren't a threat to the GC.
However, I've had some one-day races where I attacked from mid-race and made it to the finish.
You need a bit of luck, also |

I have won from a breakaway in one day races on hard, it is difficult but you can definatley make them stick in stage races! |

I think it's pretty realistic in that most breakaways are caught by the peloton but I've won with Nordhaug and others in one-day races. It is easier to win on breakaways in the GC races, particularly in later stages when leading riders and teams are conserving energy to only hunt breakaways including rival contenders. Get one of your stronger riders who isnt up in the GC ranks in a breakaway and hope you get a good time gap. |

I won Liege-Bastogne-Liege with Voeckler in a breakaway, lol. I wheelsucked most of the way then attacked with like 10km to go, and beat the peloton by about 30 seconds.
The trick, I find, is to spot the right move and make sure you're in it. Early breakaways are rarely permitted to go by the peloton, if there's a breakaway attempt around a third to the halfway point of the race completed, that's usually the one that can get away.

Yeah I'd go with dragon on that one. It's not always certain, but I've won plenty of races with breakaways.
I don't know if I have a mind block, but I do find one day races harder to win with breakaways. |

Obviously one-day races are harder as all teams just have this one stage to win.
In stage races teams going for the GC won`t go all-in when guys are already far behind in the rankings.
Just look through the PCM12 story section. Lots of stages will end in breakaways. Actually a pretty realistic amount. |

I think they've got the success rate of breakaways spot-on in PCM12 personally. I've really enjoyed the odd victory I've managed and enjoyed setting up chases in the Peloton to catch others too. |

I agree breakways are better in pcm12, but there's some AI behaviour from the pack in GTs that I find pretty annoying. Basically the pack won´t chase breakaways at all during the 2nd and 3rd week, unless it's a flat stage. As a result you always get in those cases breakaways of 15-20 riders, which is not realistc and a pain in the butt if you want to control the race just a little bit.

Hi, i have a question about breakaways:
I've managed to break with 2 of my support riders only (no other rider in break), nicely increasing time from minute to 2 with 63 relay... when one guy from peleton react a run possibly at 99 right after mine double,
peloton starts chase him but he work hard and after some time he joins my group, and now he completely put pedals off, no relay from him even on 30 and half-chasing peloton about 1/3 race, time drops from 2:50 to less then minute a he sits as 3. all the time at group, do nothing...
so what to do in this situation? i tried to attack with both riders, but after that, situation was the same, he just dot at 99 and join again or when i rely on 99 he still get about 20 sec after me, but it means no chance for mine 2 guys with more then half race to do.
Yep, thats me down here...

It is definetly easier to make a break stick in the mountains however it is muck harder on a flat stage (because the sprinters want a stage win)

Just the usual AI problems.
(I assume you ticked off passive multiplayer AI, although I don't know whether that was already fixed in a patch)
