Back to the hills. Will Scarponi look to make it 5 wins out of 6 for Wiggle? Can Betancourt make the most of having the best hill stat? Will Sagan win another hills stage? Can anyone gain any decisive gaps, or will it be a group sprint again? What about the breakaway?
It's a tough course today, and all questions will be answered out on the road.
Out early and KoM jersey hunting is Durbridge, winning the 1st climb.
Stallaert takes 2nd, with Albourdainy 3rd.
Scodeller wins the intermediate sprint from Antunes and Santoro. (It wasnt contested)
And these 6, along with 6 others, form the day's break: Kuphaldt, Schwarmes, Roth, Gee, Galiev and Andersen.
KoM #2 goes to Albourdainy, he beats Durbridge and Stallaert to do so.
Meanwhile in the peloton, McCarthy has crashed.
Playing domestique for Pinot, he is still one of the best in the hills in this race and played a key role in our first hilly stage. He is hurt though, and will finish this stage dead last - a blow for Wikipedia.
Up front, Stallaert followed up victory in the 2nd sprint by taking the 3rd KoM - doing his best to defend the jersey for his team. It helps that Durbridge is further back - with Albourdainy 2nd and Roth 3rd.
But Staellaert needs more points in the last categorised climb, and that doesnt happen. Its Roth from Kuphaldt and Durbridge - with the Aussie taking the lead in the KoM competition.
32km to go, the break lead by 2'50. But that is just under 2 minutes 10km later, and the attacks are beginning.
Betancourt ...
... then Scarponi and Lavery...
.. but it is Shikai, Grmay and Eastman who are the first to cross over to the breakaway!
TV cameras suddenly spot Sagan off the back of the peloton. What is he doing there? He has neither crashed nor punctured - 4th in GC and stage favourite, not in a good position at all at 13km to go.
Everything has come together up front, only for Pinot to launch a new move. Eastman is following again - Shikai and Betancourt trying to get across.
Scarponi makes it across to Eastman's wheel and as the pace lulls, Betancourt strikes hard.
But it is shortlived. Delaplace, Kennaugh and Quintana make their way up to him and we are back to a peloton again.
5km to go then, and we are on a downhill run to the finish. Peloton has 41 riders, and is led by Weiss.
And it's still downhill when Weiss launches the sprint, amid a challenge from Cerne.
Festina are eager for a stage win and make Landa and Kennaugh are immediately up here.
But they may have gone too soon once again, as Bennett now takes the lead into the final kilometre. Still downhill.
Round the final bend, and suddenly the road is going upwards again. Bennett has a good lead.
But here comes Kirsch!
The Luxembourger is flying, and closing the gap quickly.
Starting to move alongside...
... as they lunge for the line.
And it's Bennett!!!
Stage win for the Kiwi on the Aussie team as Kirsch just misses out - a second second place on a hilly stage for Focused. The previous 2nd came from Skujins, who was 4th today - while Leigh Howard finished strongly for 3rd.
But what about Sagan? It turns out he got dropped going back to the team car for water, and he is forced to sprint all the way to finish line to regain contact with the group.
But this isnt the peloton, and he has lost 1'36 - slipping down to 16th overall.
