I wonder the ways to get the best time in the deciding TT's at the end of Giro de Italia (Milano-Milano), Tour de France (Bonneval-Chartes) and Vuelta Espana(It isn't the last important stage, but: Cambados-Pontevedra).
The last TT also, this can be a useful info. And it isn't cheating.
I'd most likely hear the effort, but additional if you can tell me(and the others that reads this thread)

You can play these stages in the stage mode, this could give you information about the effort. Just consider that your riders have less fitness in the end of the race. |

I've treid that, but can't get right effort. In this thread, you can also share it with a lot of people. "Cuz" someone knows it. But I respect you if you won't share it.

What should that mean. Do I get more respect from you if I don't share?
I never write down the effort and I guess I am not the only one. |

you dont need help
just try variations with other riders on the team. You have 8 chances to get it right before your main rider, and that is plenty
Start low, and get higher as you get further into the race.
I start between 60 and 65. Then move up to 70-75 after the final time check, depending on remaining energy

this.
use the helpers as a guideline, but only as a guideline and not as an exact replicate of your captain and his effort. If its late in a GT, there is a difference in their green bar, as a result of the riders restitution stat. This should mean, that your captain could go a little harder.
There isnt really a magical levle of effort and i assume that everyone adjusts their riders effort during a timetrial. |

This is more ore less my strategy, at least it was in '11 as I haven't encountered long TTs in '12 yet.
As a basic formula, in longer time trials effort levels between 55-65 (depending on recovery and ascent/descent ratio) are pretty good to start with.
Rather start lower and have something left in the tank later on than having to reduce the effort towards the finish, as many AI riders will slow down a lot at the end and you can gain back some time there.

If it helps I played the long last TT for 2012 Tour de France several times with different teams in career mode (PCM daily latest pack, hard mode). I found the optimum ratio for that one was a constant 57 (assuming your leader has good recovery stats - the rest of the team cant cope with that). But you will never win that stage (or that Tour) no matter who you play with unless its Wiggins

It would be useless to write down the effort anyway, as it will vary greatly from rider to rider at the end of a GC, depending on their recup, TT, stamina...
It could well be one rider needs effort 71 and the other 67.
But good luck with it |
