the game doesn´t start

well I do´nt know why, but when I click on the icon to launch the game, nothing happens. also when I Put in the cd and click "play game", nothing happens. it doesn´t freeze or something like that, nothing happens.  |

Do you have Norton Antivirus, or something like that? Antivirus programs tend to block PCM from starting. |

same thing here.
PCM-Spain was working, then I ran the .bat file that changes between the single and career mode DBs and after that, it doesn't work. I just run it and nothing happens. the process sits there. shows up on taskmanager, but that's all.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but it's the same.

not really. I just uninstalled and then deleted the Pro Cycling Manager 2007 folder.
I'll try deleting the stuff in My Documents this time

nope, didn't work.
the strange thing is that it was working perfectly seconds before I used PCM-Spain's .bat file and after using it, it immediatelly stoped working. it's especially weird considering the .bat file should have nothing to do with it.

I got it to work 
for anyone whose game might not be working, here's what I did (every step is mandatory):
1.delete the Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager 2007 folder
2.delete the My Documents /Pro Cycling Manager 2007
3.go to Documents and Settings/(whatever your account name is). look at the "Application Data"(this name might not be in english. it's in whatever language your operating system is) folder. if it's not there, you need to make hidden folders viewable. delete the folder.
4.be EXTREMELY CAREFUL on this step. messing with registry incorrectly can seriously screw up your windows installation. use the search function to find any entries related to PCM. try, for instance, searching for "PCM". delete the entries (one, maybe two) that relate to it.
5. remove starforce using the starforce removal utility (https://onlinesecurity-on.com/download...drvrem.zip)
reboot and reinstall the game plus all patches.
should work

to be perfectly fair, if the game simply doesn't start, it's most likely starforce, so usually only step 5 is needed. I posted the whole thing because if just that doesn't work...
