Weird world championships
ruben
I finally reached the worlds after an entire season of playing (nothing simmed) with Rabo Conti.

But I have to say, these world championships have suprising results

WK tijdrijden

As I was Netherlands, Dekker was 3 star favourite, but quickly it became clear he wasn't good today, well form of the day was 0, but I have no idea of his fitness. Instead..Posthuma won, I was totally suprised... But then again, if I look at the field, many pre-race 'favourites' were weak. Wiggins and Leipheimer were 3 star too.. Posthuma didn't even get a star, neither did cornu. Weird? Or is this normal...

World roadrace

I controlled the race well by being in every attack. In the final I had 3 men in the front group. Vanendert was super strong and attacked several times, but finally Boogerd and Gesink reeled him in. Dekker was the strongest (most energy left), also suprisingly for me, because he sucked in the TT. I thought Boogerd and Kroon would be my captains. But Kroon lost energy in the first few rounds already (injured? bad shape?) and Boogerd ran out of blue quickly in the final. So evertything for Dekker. Vanendert was still in front, but with 500m to go, Dekker and Ballan passed him, but Ballan was stronger. Again much suprises! Morabito, Vanendert, Grivko, ... is this allways? Pfft I think many top riders are in bad form at the worlds, no?

Yeah, form is very important in Worlds, in my Discovery season Brajkovic won the TT and Devolder the Road race. The guys from other teams that i played with, in the american team were really in bad shape.

Yeah, maybe I'll plan my top riders shape for the worlds better  but anyway Mollema would not get selected even if he won all ct races Sad
