NOTE: THIS STORY HAS BEEN CALLED OFF UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO A LACK OF A COMPUTER!
Before I start my story I would like to state that I don't have my own computer (I'm using the family one) nor do I have PCM 2012. I can assure you that I will get both some time or another. I can't wait anymore, so I'll start my story introduction anyway.

Note: Some stats will be edited to make it more realistic (like climbers who were rated as sprinters) and transfers will also be as in real life.
My name is Douglas Ryder. I am an ex-professional cyclist who raced primarily in South Africa. Since my retirement, it has been my dream to create and manage an African cycling team that is able to compete at the highest level, the Tour de France. With recent reports of MTN's enthusiasm to take the sponsorship all the way and their determination to put "yellow in Yellow", has made this dream seem very possible. I plan to have a team that is comprised of 75% African riders with a few seasoned European pros in the mix to bring about UCI points, knowledge and mentorship.
Charity and giving back to the people of this beautiful continent has always been close to my heart. That's why I am so elated that MTN has started the Qhubeka initiative. [https://www.qhubeka.org/2012/] I would like to thank Trek for their involvement as well. Although, this agreement was not easily brought upon: I walked into Trek Bicycles HQ in Waterloo, Wisconsin and asked the secretary if I could see their marketing director. She refused to let me in and I told her I'm not leaving until I get an appointment. Low and behold, after waiting for 4 hours seeing figures like Johan Bruyneel and Brian Nygaard walk right into the office, I got to see their marketing director. I told him about my team, our ambitions and the Qhubeka initiative. He was amazed by the concept of it all and by my determination. Long story short, here's the end result:
More updates will soon follow regarding our sponsors, my riders and our goals.
Cheers for now
Doug
