Help! Bugs career mode

Ive been playing my career for 3 seasons now, and in the third i suddenly seen a lot of bugs, when a stage crash i can deal with, but results, contract signings and other things get bugged i cant handle it,
like for results for tour de slovenie comes like this:
1st: grega bole, team eddy merckx indeland(he rides for lampre)
2nd:$CYCLISTFIRSTNAME1 $CYCLISTNAME1, $TEAMNAME 1
3rd:$CYCLISTFIRSTNAME2 $CYCLISTNAME2, $TEAMNAME 2
Its seriously starting to annoy me, and my superfun career is starting to be a hassle with all these bugs, anyone please help!  |

Yeah, heard this bug many times...
Before you started your career, which patch did you have?
I think if you start your career when your having patch 1.3.0.0 it will not happen... Although im not sure of that.

I have the pcm france db v7 i think.. (quite new to databases)
If i install a new database will my career be lost? |

New database -> new career.
Otherwise you won`t get all new things like rider stats, races etc.
You can of course backup your career so that you can continue it later, but still it`s with the France DB then.

No, It won't. You just look up in the options for database and there you can select your databases, all the careers will be saved at the load game thingie |

So which db should i get and how do i do it to still play my career?
If someone could write down step for step i would be very greateful!
(not new to playing the game, just new to databases and stuff)

I asked you if you did install something. I didn't tell you to install something.
Why would you want to install another DB before you fixed your problem? |

You don't have to be sorry but it is not possible to help if we don't know where the problem is. You could try to answer my questions and we might find the problem.
Another option would be to start over like this:
- Uninstall the game
- Install the game
- Install the latest patch
- (Install another DB)
- Start a new career

No need to create a new thread, so I use this old one.
I experience the same bug, third career year with the fully patched, correctly installed Daily 2013 no equipment DB.
I edited stuff quite often, but only DYN_contract_cyclist, DYN_cyclist and DYN_team_race.
Any way to keep the career and fix that?

Did you try replacing the Local.cdb? There's a backup in Cyanide/PCM/PCM.daily DB Backup |

Without success, at least not after advancing a day.
While there were real riders shown in the results before, it's only $CYCLISTNAME2 etc. now.

I have seen this problem several times but I never have seen a solution.
This thread is a good example, there was just no answer from the OP.
One thing you could try is to copy a backup from the weeklysave folder. Maybe it was only a one-time glitch. |

try to use a weekly save... for me the problem was the beginning of july 2016... I used the weekly-autosave of 27/6/2016 and now all is ok
EDIT: solve not at all... the problem starts again on 13/7/2016

I had this problem too, and since noone had a solution i thought maybe it's because the solution is too simple. So I deleted all the news and it actually worked  |

I didn't really believe that 7king's solution would work for everyone when he posted it - sounded a bit too simple - but it has now been confirmed as the solution by a PCM developer.
