The successor of the brilliant Guild Wars has been released saturday. It's basically a completely new game. Most important changes (imo):
- Instead of an instanced, it's an open world.
- The battle system is a lot more arcade-like, very dynamic.
- You can jump, swim and jackknife.
- You can not only play humans but also four other races from GW1.
I've played it for a couple of hours and I'm pretty happy with it. You have to get used to it but there's a lot of potential.
But main purpose of this thread: Is anyone else of you playing it? How do you like it? /discuss!
Also, my ingame is: Jack Raventhorn. If anybody wants to play sometime

I played GW1 pretty long but due to University I stopped it as I had no time.
I considered to buy GW2 as it looked pretty cool. On the other hand I still don`t have the time... |

Hi, GW were cool, i played them a bit also with account of my friend.
Are GW2 free to play or not?If yes, i would consider buying and playing

Well, it hasn't any monthly fees, but you have to pay for it once to create an account. It's like 40-50€, depending on where you buy it.

So i pay for the copy of the game and than again for the activation?

You just buy it once for a specific price like every normal game.
Then you can play it for free without any monthly fee. |

Thanks, that is what i thought, as that was the case with first GW. I just got confused with mention about paying for creating the account.
