It's been a while - 10 races infact. But finally a rankings update!

On the standings below, the brackets show the total points by each team over the whole 10 races and Hollister of course stand out thanks to the Tour of America, but Emu and UniCredit enjoyed strong periods aswell - hence why these 3 are the only 3 to have gained positions from 8th down to 17th.
Bianchi have maintained their number 1 position, but Jayco Red Bull have closed the gap. They will be rueing the missed opportunity as a crash took the Tour of Britain title away from Daryl Impey and to Jonathan Bellis instead - which also helped Rapha maintain the pressure in the Top 3 battle.
Neither California Giant nor Aker were particularly noticeable recently. The American squad avoided the Tour of America, while Aker went there and performed anonymously. They still hold a gap though over the chasing bunch, which could be vital.
At this stage though, it seems very likely that 6 teams will automatically promote due to the disbanding of 2 ProTour teams who are outside of the ProTour relegation zone. This places Venchi and Pokerstars in those positions, but the chase behind is very close. Emu are closest - but only have 1 race left. VW, Hollister, Pirelli, Vespa and co. are all within touching distance if they can string a strong finish together.
At the bottom end of the Top 20, the battle is similarly tight. CSC have moved in, and are not far behind Rothaus - but have only a 5 point lead over WWE - while Focused are launching a late charge.
And at the very bottom, Meiji still hold an advantage over Oz thanks to their American efforts - after William Ford took victory in the Tour de Delhi. Its an uphill battle now for the Australians, since Meiji have more races remaining.

In the Individual standings, Jose Alarcon may now be mathematically certain of winning the individual standings. The races remaining for the Top 12 are as follows:

Even if the rest of the Top 12 win all their remaining races and Alarcon scores nothing in Emilia, they cannot catch him. The Venezuelan's Swaziland triumph looks set to have sealed the title.
So instead, Torino, Emilia and Japan will simply be a head to head battle between Di Maggio and Tour of Britain winner Bellis for 2nd overall in the Standings.
Thanks to the Tour of America, Robert Kiserlovski has entered the Top 10. He is unlikely to stay there though, as Daniele Bennati has the races remaining to easily put himself back into the Top 10 - and perhaps even the Top 5.

Two of my riders in the top 5 - especially pleased Pozzo beat Valverde, Rujano and VdB. Ginanni also done well taking into account his race days and the complete lottery the hilly ones tend to be.
Still, meaningless when the rest of the squad have managed less than a 1000 points between them.
Wonder if I have room for Nibali in the off season.

But I have learnt a lot about the Man Game this season and know where I made some mistakes in my first season. So I guess I will be better next season and hopefully won`t do the same mistakes again. :-P |

Maybe the biggest one. 
But I still have some hope in him for Franco-Belge, where he has national bonus. 
But to be fully honest I made many mistakes with his race planner and avoided most classics, where he would have been better than in some of the stage races...
This was due to a good planning but badly implemented then.

Some decent races from us, although as SN points out our chances of taking the division are pretty remote and depend on a lot of luck from the remaining HC races.
However cannot complain promotion is pretty much secured with four out of five goals completed, going to be awesome to have a go at the Protour next season.
I am beginning to believe that CalGiant and Aker Solutions are not going to get caught by enough teams to deny them promotion. It's a surprise to me, I would not have had them there. Then again I would not have put my own team into as comfortable a promotion position either.
VolksWagen, Hollister, Pirelli and Vespa have been inconsistent - the truth I guess is that the strength in depth in their squads have been lacking. That said they all still have a shot at reeling in Venchi and Pokerstars for the last two slots of promotion.
Alarcon looks like he will finally get a shot at Protour glory - he has dominated the CTour scene for two years now!

I'm happy to see that I wasn't the only one.
I think that I've also learnt a lot throughout the season. Been looking forward to the upcoming off-season for a long time, as I can't wait to start rebuilding the sinking ship that my team currently is.

Wow, eventhough we had a pretty anonymous period of racing, Alarcon's victory in Swaziland keeps my hope for promotion pretty high. Though, I'm not confident at all this will be enough for promotion, with 3 stage races and 6 classics still to come, there are plenty of points on offer.
Bianchi seems safe at the very top, and great to see Alarcon win the individual rankings, at least that 1 million of Euros wasn't a waste |

I would be very surprised if I would keep the lead as I have still the most used race days, 500/600 points could be easily taken.
My lead at the last rankings update was 700 points to the 2nd so.. They are closing that gap.

10 left for Bianchi, 20 for Jayco RB, 28 for Rapha. So assuming you match JRB and Rapha in your final 10 then JRB would need 45 points per extra race day, and Rapha would need 33. And the season-long average for both JRB and Rapha currently is around 27.
It took 22 race days for JRB to close your gap from 700 to 450 - while you raced 14 at the same time.
So youre definately in the strongest position - shouldnt be surprised at all if you take the title

Oh with that explaination I think it's now "sealing it" instead of "I think Jayco or Rapha can take 1st position"
I just knew that I would be still the team with the most used race days to the point when you are making the rankings update.
