Help with new contract

Help, I offered Contador a low contract and now he is annoyed, it says.
Value: Annoyed, will not sign a new contract. WHAT CAN I DO ? I don't wanna loose him for free.

In the game you cannot do anything but you can cheat and edit his contract.
You would need to open your save using an editor.
The contract would be in the table called DYN_contract_cyclist.
But I think you also have to fix his status (the annoyance).
It should be in the table DYN_cyclist but I don't know which column. This has been answered before, so try the forum search if you don't want to wait for a better answer. |

Ok, thanks, I will try that.
I have another question.Can you recommend me some tutorials or some guides to help me understand the game better ? I watched some tutorials on youtube but them are for PCM 2010 or 2011, and they only show the last 20 or 30 km.When I reach the last km's my cyclists are all tired and I can't attack.So, how can I learn to play ?

Red, I'd definitely suggest, as a start, to play the game on easy for a while. You can also try to reducing your riders effort to below 65% 9 (but 50% or above) from the start of the stage . I find that combining this with the Short Relay described in the manual maintains the energy of my better riders and keeps them near the front of the peloton until the stage starts to hot up in the last third of the distance. |

Thanks scoopy but I already play on easy.I love this game but I just can't win any race.On stage races I loose the sprints and I loose time on mountains.
I atack on mountains but I just can't win any time.Is this different from real life ? Is possible in this game to try and attack with 20-30 km's before the finish line and win 3-4 minutes ? |

Using the attack button burns energy very fast especially on mountains, but this doesn't seem to apply for the AI. It's better to use dot to attack.
Check this thread for some very useful tips.
It's for 2011 as well, but the gameplay hasn't changed. |

Red, it's easier to "follow" other attacks. Getting into the slipstream of another rider who's attacking will save some energy. I've found going it alone rarely works, unless youve got a quality rider. You also have to bear in mind the terrain. As in real world cycling, it's pretty pointless attacking on the flat stages of bigger stage races as the AI sprint teams will chase you down. In the hills or mountains not every rider can attack at high speed etc... It all depends on their stats. There's a lot to think about.
Do you have a favoured team that you play with? |

Scoopy, I'm playing in career mode with a custom team that I created, I cheated and I got the best riders like Contador,Sanchez,Nibali etc. I did that because I want to learn how to play, but it seems even with a great team is hard to win.I lead almost all the stage but I loose in the last 10-20 km's because my riders are to tired.I will try to improve step by step, thanks again for your support. |

One tip, on mountain stages, don't attack, just use Free Effort, about 70-75, that should do the trick with Contador  Otherwise you'll waste too much energy. |

Red, In career mode remember to have your riders fit. Make sure you do pre season training. Then you can also programme their training to put them in peak condition for certain races. Riders like Contador, Nibali etc, will get tired before the end of a race if their fitness is only 60-70 points.
What I'd also suggest is that you play individual races outwith career mode with default teams. You can pick sprint stages, cobbles, mountains etc, basically to practice stages and races that you only get once chance to compete per season in Career Mode - it'll help you develop a tactic that works.

Are you using Protect when riding? I find this helps in the mountain stages particularly. If you have a half decent climber protecting Contador or Nibali it will conserve their energy until near the summit then as the protector tires your lead rider can then go on alone |

In cobble races wait 20 km to attack. Do not attack in the hard cobbles , dont waste your energy to trash.
