The 2012 Man Game World Championship are not far ahead. But still we need a suitable route for it.
Former routes have been pretty hilly, so it might be time for a flat course for the sprinters or a cobbler course to give other riders a chance.
So here some stages, that could be voted:
Choices
Spoiler 1. Muur de Geraardsbergen
This would be a mix of sprinter and cobbler course. The parcours isn`t very hard but with 4 times the Muur on the 2nd half it might lead to selections and who will be fit to sprint after 250km?
2. WC Zaragoza
Spain has lots of big cyclists and so also wants the World Championship.
The course is not very hard and shouldn`t lead to big selections. Still on the final circuit with a small climb it is possible for a strong roleur to attack. Otherwise we might see a sprint here.
3. Cobbled Race
A pure cobbler being World Champion? Sure, why not? Expect a course with more than 30km cobbles. Can the pure cobblers win against the strong sprinter/cobble combination riders?
4. Pan Flat Course
Some might prefer a pan flat stage for the Worlds this year to give even the weakest hilly rider a chance.
Expect a city circuit course for this race then with some laps.
With the result that Belgium, Brussels will be host of the 2012 World Championship here the exact route.
WC RR
We start in Brussels and go on a longer flat part without many difficulties except for the wind of course. Then the riders ride 4 laps including the Muur Van Geraardsbergen before leaving the village on a short cobbled route and go back to Brussels to finish on a flat and wide road.
WC ITT
With 58km it`s a quite long time trial but should have a perfect terrain for the time trialists. Mainly flat and not many corners. Biggest difficulty is one cross of the Muur Van Geraardsbergen.
WC RR U23
Pretty much the same route to the elite race. But it`s shortened by 1 lap which makes it a bit easier.
WC ITT U23
With 41km it`s shorter than the elite time trial. But still the young riders need to pass the Muur one time.
WC TTT
Same course than the elite ITT. Most interesting will be how the teams will handle the Muur together.

Just in case that you haven`t seen this before.
I got only a very few votes so far. So better vote before the dead line. |

Surprisingly a couple of courses suited to my team. I don't mind that.

I only received 20 votes yet. This is ~1/3 of the whole ManGame.
You still have a bit more than one day until the dead line. |

I think there could be a problem that not all Div2 and continental division managers look into the man-game general section usually?

Moved it to the announcement thread. Maybe then?
But at the moment the percentage is nearly the same in all divisions. So pretty mixed through the Man Game. |

Better chance for me to win then Nah I won't win at all, I just picked the stage I think could give the most interesting race.

Some could be also at vacation..
I guess this time it's time to give a sprinter the chance for the title eh? Although I think neither of my riders could win the world championship even if it's pancake flat (Ciolek) or hilly (Claeys, Monfort, De la Fuente)
I hope the first one will provide the best race with chances for sprinters and classics riders

Exactly half of the ManGame Managers have voted yet and it`s still nothing decided yet.
So still 21 hours time to vote if you want to have an influence on the course this year?

All the race profiles for the different routes are in the first post now.
So the U23 events are only a bit shorter than the elite courses but as said pretty similar. |
