Help with Steam version

Hello. I purchased Steam version of PCM 2012 and can't find a way to execute the game without steam.
What I really want to do is change graphic settings and play in window mode. It doesn't seems possible running from Steam shortcut.
P.D. I found where game is installed, but when I execute the exe, it gets an error and doesn't let me run the game.

The option to play in windowed mode is in the game. Did you try that already? If yes, what makes you believe it is not possible? Error message?
If you have steam specific problems, consider contacting the steam support. |

I tried to tick and untick the window mode box. Either way, game runs in full screen.
No error message when I try to open from hard disk drive, but it asks me if i want to send a report to cyanide.

I tick/untick the box and it keeps ticked/unticked both if I check back before restarting game and after I do. |

Try to deactivate the intro videos, this option prevents the usage of ALT+Tab, so maybe it messes with the window mode also.
Then there is an option "force graphics". It should do something else but you could still try it.
If that does not help, then contact steam because I am pretty sure that I played this game in windowed mode already. (Game not bought through steam.) |

Window mode on + put a lower resolution than my monitor has (I got 1900x1200 and using 1024x768) |
