young riders failing
bc-2000
Hi.

I just started playing pcm 09 again after being away for some years.

I made my own team in carrier with 15 - 19 years old danish riders.

My problem is when riding a race and the peleton starts making a high pace, then it seems like all my riders lose speed and they just drops like raindrops from the groupSad even if i put them on 99% and use either the dot or "small relay"..

Their skills is around 55-60 in FL.

Am I doing something wrong or is it just because they sucks..
And how can I train them to be better.??

Anything under FL 65, no matter what fitness, is not sufficient to play any kind of role in any race including a significant amount of flat roads.

Even the best players around would stand no chance.

Probably their low flat skill doesn't help. How much low is a flat skill of rider, more difficulty he's gonna have to hang in the peloton.

Okay thanks.

Is 65 in any skill like a low level for the riders, before they are able to compete with others??

And do it affect the training of the riders if I let them use all the energy in a race.??

Definately.

I'd say with equal fitness, hard mode for a good player / normal for a mediocre, at least 70 in the important skill (SP, MO, HI, TT, COB depending on the profile + secondary stats to an extent) is needed for a Top 10 result in a Continental tour race, 75 in a World Tour race.

To win, add ~ 3-5 points to that.

It does affect neither training nor race fitness.
In stage races, recuperation and used green bar influence the amount of green bar available in the next stage though.
