Trying not to tempt fate, but I believe this has actually worked - only 1 extra team though, as Britain aren't picked up, but Belgium are here to delight you.
The first for Tom Boonen to try and retain, he's out and out favourite, but his hilly stat could be his downfall.
The race starts extremely boringly - no attacks after about half the race - then, Prestia of La Gazetta is the first to puncture in strangely calm and dry conditions

Finally some action - Boonen sets the Carrefour team up front, and they set up a bordure in the punishing 4 km/h wind, splitting the peloton over the cobbles

Cancellara punctures - an intrepid Accumalux fan at the roadside however has a spare wheel, and takes his moment of glory, worming his way through the riders, giving a spare wheel to the Swiss champion, and Cancellara stays in the pack - great stuff!!!

Back up front, and the front group is firmly established now - it's 4 riders, with Boonen and 2 team mates, and Burghardt who's sitting in whilst the Carrefour team do the work

And what's this!!!
Race radio reports Burghardt has dropped Boonen!!!
If the stupid local editor would just cut to them instead of turning Cancellara's saviour into a star

A strong Nick Nuyens leads over an intact Ferrari squad, 1'22 behind Boonen

Now Nuyens has a gap - can he bear down on Boonen?

No, but Hincapie looks almost fresh as he bridges up to Nuyens, and immediately leaves him for dust

Hincapie is gaining on Boonen!!!
He's riding incredibly, and now he's coming up, he's got Boonen in his sites with 37km left

And Hincapie has caught Boonen, but look at the determination on his face, he's got his sites set on Burghardt!!!

Hincapie follows at 1 minute, but what a ride he's on. Can he do it? Everyone is cheering him on, and the German is looking worried up front

Boonen is 2'34 behind, and he needs to hold off Cancellara and Devolder, who are just behind him

One short climb left, one descent, then a flat to the finish - that's all Hincapie has got, but divine intervention may not help Burghardt - Hincapie grits his teeth and rides through the illusionary church

Hincapie has tried to drop Brughradt, but credit to the guy, he's hung on - and now he's being forced to lead out!!!
