Foreword
Hi my name is David and I'm a sports journalist. I have spent a lot of my career following the rider who has been dubbed by many as the greatest cyclists ever to have graced the earth, Jan Bartl. I have secured an exclusive interview with the great rider himself to look back on his career together. I look forward to sharing his view from the saddle with you as we review arguably the greatest moments in cycling history as he battles with his two greatest rivals Adrik Ivanov and Roy West atop numerous mountain passes. We will start at the beginning when the trio stormed onto the scene at the age of 18 years in the 2012 season. |

Adrik Ivanov

Teams: 2012- Caja Rural
Major Wins:
Ivanov looked like the best all rounder of the great trio as he was better than Jan in the individual time trials and better than Roy on the mountains however he couldn't dominate due to the trio being so close in ability. He was linked with Katusha for his first season but in the end he had to settle with riding Caja Rural where he became a prominent figure.

Major Wins:
Roy was the best time trialist of the trio and arguably the best ever however he dreamt of more than numerous stage wins and focused on riding on steep slopes. He would often be dropped by Jan and Adrik on such slopes but could pull all the time lost back comfortably on the time trials. He began his career at the relatively big team of Argos Shimano and hoped to ride the Tour de France as a wild card in his first season.
