I can't find a sticky that will help the new users of PCM 12, and I guess that every new gamer in here asks the same questions.
I will try to make this thread interesting for new managers, by asking the questions that I reckon most new managers will do. I'm new myself hence the questions below needs to be answered by YOU, the experience manager. I know a couple of the answers myself, and basically I can probably find most of them also, but here goes. I hope you will be of assistance, so I can keep updating this thread in order to help others like myself.
Like I said, if you want to make it sticky feel free, it's made as a help.
The questions:
1) Does Steam automatically update my game?
- Yes it does. You do not need to worry about official patches, the program will automatically update it for you, if you are connected to the internet on the gaming computer.
- I'm not sure my game is fully updated. Where can I check if it is?
-
2) Is there any database I need to download?
- Yes you should look in the download section to the left. Here you will find some interesting downloads. Some databases are more interesting than others, eg. the Real Name DB is a good start, if you want to get going straight away.
The managers of this site would recommend these databases:
-
-
-
3) Where do I find the PC requirements to get the game running as smoothly as possible according to my machine?
-
4) Which downloads would you recommend?
-
5) Where can I find guides to improve my manager skills?
-
6) I have played the game before (Previous versions) - What new additions to the game should I pay attention to?
-
More questions will be added.

The thing that would help me the most right now is to watch a let's play style video on youtube (other video streaminng sites are available)
The best videos that I have found are all for PCM 2011 and the race interface is different. I would love to watch a short video of a race which has all the in game sounds turned off or very low and contains a beautifully eloquent explanation of what all the buttons do and a little bit of insight into how a race plays out. Bonus points will be awarded to an explanation of how some of the videos seem to show the race progressing in super slo mo.
Also any link to a guide for a complete noob such as myself would be very welcome.

Hey darkfng, PCM 2011 is much like pcm2012, the diffrent really is the brand new interface.
3) Where do I find the PC requirements to get the game running as smoothly as possible according to my machine?
For the answer to this one it is hard to tell without specific information but if someone is wondering whether they can run it at all, thenthere is this handy website: https://www.system...intro.aspx
