Just wanted your opinion on my custom team (Using Altehacke's 2012 DB if it matters).
I'll list the rider and my thoughts on their roles in the team:
Richie Porte - TT, Domestique and Minor GC
Greg Van Avermaet - Cobbles, Lead Out and Sprits
Thomas De Gendt - Puncher and Mid-race chaser
L.L Sanchez - Main GC rider
Jose Joaquin Rojas - Main Sprinter
Rafael Valls - Climber and Domestique
Thomas Voeckler - Puncher and Minor GC
Thibaut Pinot - Climber, Minor GC and Domestique
Marcel Kittel - Sprinter and lead out for Rojas
Gerald Ciolek - Minor Sprinter and Lead out
Jens Voigt - Voigt stuff, Mid-race chaser and lead outs
John Dengenkolb - Sprint and lead out for Rojas and Sagan
Martijn Maaskant - Cobbles, Minor TT and mid-race chase
Lars Boom - TT, Cobble helper, Puncher and mid-race chase
Steven Kruijswijk - Climber and Domestique
Peter Sagan - Puncher, Sprinter and lead out for Rojas (If needed)
Thomas Lovkvist - TT, Minor GC and Domestique
Tejay Van Garderen - Minor GC and Domestique
Taylor Phinney - TT and mid-race chase
Chris Sutton - Lead out and mid-race chase
Geraint Thomas - Lead out, Cobble helper and mid-race chase
Have I got these roles right? And are there any glaring holes in the squad that need to be filled?

I'm doing alright early season (Now in mid-Febuary). Shame none of my sprinters quite have the top end speed of Cavendish or Goss. Still Sagan won the TDU with an solo attack that gains 50 seconds. Really need a few more lead out flat riders as my trains keep falling apart. |
