Races not showing up

Hi there , I made a custom team ( with a few decent riders ) and alot of races don't even show up in the schedule . I'd accept that I can't get wildcards for everything , but I can't even ask a wild card for tour down under or paris-nice . Is this a bug or meant to be ? If it is , is it possible to somehow make your custom team part of the protour ? Thanks .

Read the manual. I am pretty sure that it is explained when you start the game also.
Your team will promote to the Pro Tour if you reach the Top 2 in the Continental league.
You could also try to edit your save but I believe this is rather complicated, since you would need to alter all the race participations. Maybe even remove another team from the Pro tour.
