"Danish cyclist Michael Rasmussen, who was kicked out of the Tour de France for evading doping controls, had traces of a blood-boosting substance in his system when tested during the race, the French sports daily L'Equipe reported Friday.
The French lab conducting the tests sent a letter to cycling's world governing body, UCI, noting that Rasmussen's samples showed signs of Dynepo, an EPO-like substance made from human cells, L'Equipe said."

It was. He couldn't be as stupid as the Mexico / Italy affair proved him to be.
It was only a matter of time... |

I don't want to be a pain, but...we've gone through this in the news in september thread
anyway, there's nothing they can do about that, as the test for Dynepo is not yet approved. just like Armstrong's positives for EPO are irrelevant as they stopped happening just as the test for EPO was admitted as official.

But as far as I know, dynepo is not on list of illegal substances.
To me, dynepo sounds like something from Flinstones |

nope. not for this. but this means that they're now sure he's a doper, so they'll do all they can to nail him for whatever they can. he's got a bullseye on him now.

If it wasn't already attached to him that is...
But I think your conclusion is spot on, isso. Will any team touch him now?

To me, dynepo sounds like something from Flinstones It's not named on the list, though doping is officially the use of a medical substance or method to boost your performances while it has nothing to do with healing yourself.
Just where dyn-EPO stands. |

according to the danish anti-doping agency Dynepo IS covered as a "means to illegally enchance you oxygen intake" - so there should be no trouble getting a conviction...

And now Mr McQuiad says: There will be no more positive sampes from this years Tour De France.
He also said that sometimes labs discover suspicious samples in riders' samples, but they cannot prove enough to convict. those samples then stay secret and are used to keep a closer eye on the rider in question.
He is very dissapointed that this sample in question has been leaked, and will not give any further comments.
so..He may just walk, but any doubt anyone could have had - And i so wished him to be the victim - must have disappeared now.
