How did you get away? They never let me get away. Was this on normal difficulty? |

yup normal. also had a really good team (menchov and Rasmussen and friere leading tour) so think computers expected me to chase for overall time. |

Actually you are right. This happens occasionally. One of my very first games was the tour of california. Landis had gotten the yellow. I decided to attack with axel. They let him get the lead and i got like 7 mins. Axel took the lead away from poor Floyd. Doh!
But this does happen. I was thinking that too...if you can get a moderate climber like julich or someone into a long breakaway where no one will chase cause all your riders are ranked high because of a good prologue...You can get some wierd results. |

I also won the Vuelta with Jackshe on Normal mode. And i won the Vuelta with Moreau on Normal. Those two are coequals in my book. Only won TdF once and that was with Mancebo who has pretty good stats in the original Db. Never have won the Giro yet (sob!). Cunego is a beast.

The Vuelta seems pretty easy to win, normally. Don't know why, though. The peloton just isn't nearly as strong as the one in the Giro or in Tour de France. |

Alberto Contador - Vuelta. Generally the Vuelta is the easiest GT to win.

I hope this isn't like in career mode. My original question was meant to be in normal mode but not career mode. |

I just won the Vuelta with Frank Schleck (in 2008). But as mentioned before, the Vuelta is by far the easiest GT to win - and with good training, Schleck will end up being a pretty good GT-rider (currently at 80 MO, 70 TT). |

inigo cuesta-vuelta.
i did won it completely fair, no ladder-tricks, and no long brakeaways. carlos sastre was ment to be vuelta captain, but he had a medium condition and a sucky morale, so he helped cuesta to the win, and got a third himself.
this was a long time ago, with pcm spain in normal

I won the Giro with Sivoldelli a long time ago, I think it must have been the original database on normal. |

Bleed it out
In the wreckage of a job well done
I saw a place I'd never seen before, yeah
And that moment I refused to close my eyes anymore
