Team Apple :: An U25 Approach to Cycling
MyDogNick
Are you tired of your favorite cycling team being lead by a bunch of old men? They hog the spotlight of the younger, more exciting riders and often cost them a shot at a podium finish in Italy, France, or Spain. It's tiring, and we at Apple are fed up with it. We've decided to launch a new cycling team built for the most talented under twenty-five riders across the globe. When they are over twenty-five, they will be released from their contract and free to sign with another professional team.

I will be playing on the hard setting (both for career and races). I need suggestions for what riders I should sign that meet the under twenty-five criteria. The orientation setting will be set at 0%, so the cheaper the rider is, the better.

Okay, what should I use for Evolution of Attributes? I'm using the latest PCMDaily DB released (2012DBV2PublicBeta).

I've decided to use a 0.3 Evolution of Attributes. I was debating using 0.5, but I didn't want it to be too fast. I think it takes a long time for riders to develop, and the goal of this story is to sign a bunch of guys eighteen or younger than twenty-five and watch them develop until their age twenty-five season. If it was higher, I think we'd dominate too much and I want a challenge!

I will take all your suggestions for riders! We have a budget of 62,000. In addition (if you want), you can tell me what races you want your chosen rider(s) to ride in. This way, you get to watch your rider's career unfold and I get to (frustratingly) play PCM!

"We are pleased to have such a talented group of youngsters assembled on this roster," said DS MyDogNick. "We believe that all of them have great futures in cycling."

The team touted three of its riders especially, Chad Williams, Michael Gibson, and Raul Lopez, all three of whom they believe to be future greats.

Caleb Ewan, the sole Aussie of the squad, will be taking part in his country's National Championship Road Race and Individual Time Trial Championship next week. He will be the youngest racer present, and will be eyeing his first professional victories. "Let's just hope they realize it's time to change the guard," joked the young Australian.

Australian Road Race Championship

This is a tough race with several hills and a downhill finish, so the sprinters should be contending for the victory.

Favorites: *** Cadel Evans, Simon Gerrans, Michael Rodgers
** Richie Porte, Matthew Lloyd, Matthew Goss, Rory Sutherland
* Heinrich Hausler, Allan Davis, Michael Matthews

The odds-end favorite for the race is reigning Tour de France champion Cadel Evans. Team Apple's Caleb Ewan is not seen as a contender, so he is expected to try and gain Apple some airtime in a breakaway.
