Hi, couple of problems I'm having here and just wondering if anybody can help me out with either/both.
1. Graphics, even on the lowest settings, are really jumpy. I've owned previous versions of the game and never had any issues when running on low settings, but this year, despite the game looking exactly the same, I'm having problems. Any ideas?
2. Steam automatically downloaded the patch for me which, although convenient, has overwritten the database that I had been working on back to default; i.e. the DB had all the rider/team/race names corrected and now its gone back to the default fake names, etc. Any ideas why it did this and how to reverse it?
1. Don't know, ask support or steam
2. It is not wise to edit the official DB. Remind you that it IS the official DB and therefore can be updated by the officials at any time.
Obviously it is not easily to restore deleted or overwritten data from a hard disk but if you really must, google can help you find the tools for it.
Some hints:
If you want to make your own DB, then save it under another name. If only to have a backup. I recommend to NEVER overwrite any DB so that you have a backup in case you messed up the editing.
And finally:
