Just a heads up if you havent bought the game yet (or need any other game) Steam has their summer sale on and you can get PCM 12 for 30 euro!
I'm trying to not push "buy" on everything atm :-)

Yeah - two days after I bought it for the marked up release price - happy for all you who don't have it yet, but man does that suck for me. : )
Anyway - I agree that it's hard to keep the mouse pointer away from the buy button during steam sales! |

I found out about the support purchase here at PCM DAILY after I had bought it from Steam. Next year I will do it through this site.
As far as I can tell, there are no other advantages whatsoever (maybe the automatic patching - although sometimes that can be a curse rather than a blessing).
I use Steam for organisation purposes, I like having a library, and also for ease of reinstallation of my collection when I change machines. |

Can't help you with that right now. There are some very informative threads out there however with solid impressions of the game and its patches.
I am waiting for the PCM Daily expansion pack before really delving into the game. However, I have liked most of what I have seen. |

You might have more problems when using steam. Some forum members mentioned that they cannot play any more after steam patched their game.
If you install a game "normally" you are free to decide which patch you want to install. |

downloading it now off steam £22 got it for, getting 3.2mb download speed 
1st time ive got the DL version of the game.
