Sorry if this is the wrong place, I'm just not sure what to do.
I took mighty ACy Sporta Praha, and rode out the two (and a half) until I could sign a new sponsor. I have a deal in place for around 5.6 million/season with a new sponsor starting next season.
I am in the positives in balance, I have 30,000 in rider salaries signed for next season, plus an offer of 23,500 out. When I go to sign any other riders (July 2nd), I receive this on the screen under "information" (sorry, too tired to learn how to do a screenshot):
I. Kiissee is actually a Team-mate on 6,000/ month with O'Mega Forme
Your wage bill for next year is estimated to be: 44,500/month
The maximum authorized wage bill will be 44,500/month
Your sponsor(s) have imposed a maximum salary of 0/month for this rider.
The budget allocated by your sponsor for next year will allow you a total wage bill for your riders of about 483,483.
I'm confused and frustrated as to why my current sponsor budget impacts my ability to sign riders for next season, with a new (and much better paying) sponsor. Is there any workaround, or do I have to go into the next season with the squad my current sponsor says I can afford?
The wage bill for the next season is not connected at all with the current or future sponsor income. It is simply 2x the rider salaries for current season. PCM simply does not allow you to expand the wages more than twice per season. That is why when playing a low level team it is always important to steadily enlarge the rider salaries each season, even if it would mean temporary financial problems.
Since the root cause of the problem are your current rider salaries I would suggest editing them - for example adding 10.000,- to one of your current contract values will enlarge your next season wage bill y the same amount.
