Deleting riders

I'm currently in 2030 in my game and certain aspects are kind of slow, such as going into the "Archives" and clicking on a riders name. This has ofcourse to due with the hige amount of information that needs to be loaded each time.

I am wondering wether or not the game will function a little bit quicker if I had been able to delete some riders from the game. Since retired riders never go out of circulation, you end up with a ton of names just sitting there.

Is there a safe way to remove something like 500 unimportant riders without wrecking my save?

Just delete them an see yourself. If you don't overwrite your actual save, you have nothing to fear.

I have a backup-save. I just hope it's enough to delete the row with the the rider. It's gonna be a pain in the a-hole if I have to delete the contract in the team, etc.

There's several things related to riders, e.g. palmares cyclists and contracts. You have to take care of that too.

E.g. with the palmares (DYN_palmares_cyclist), you have to set a 0 for each rider you delete, and you also have to delete the contracts.

Using my editor, deleteing rows from DYN_cyclist will automatically delete all linked rows in the other tables. But I cannot guarantee that all tables are linked. Click the + at the very left of the row in DYN_cyclist to see which tables are linked.
