Did you try deleting your PCM folders in My Documents and Application Data (Start -> %AppData%) |

doesn't work for me, also already tried to re-install, not syncing with steam cloud and run it from the original location instead of the shortcut. I really need help, because now I paid 45 euros for nothing. |

Do you really have the same problem? Game was running fine, now it is not working any more?
If yes, then here is the full official statement how to reset your game (it is about PCM2011 but works the same for PCM2012):
Reset the settings of Pro Cycling Manager 2012:
(Beware, it will erase your progress if you don't make a copy of the folder named Users)
A. My documents
1. Click Windows Start button and click My Documents or Documents.
2. Delete Pro Cycling Manager 2012 folder.
3. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2012.
B. Roaming folder
1. Open Computer then Local Disk (C:).
2. Open Users folder.
3. Open your username folder.
4. Open AppData folder (*)
5. Open Roaming folder.
6. Delete Pro Cycling Manager 2012 folder.
7. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2012.
(*) Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default.
Here is how to make it visible:
Open the Folder Options by clicking the Start button and click Control Panel.
On the Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization and click Folder Options.
On the Folder Options, click on the View tab.
Under the Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders and click Ok.

Yes, exactly the same problem. I got the first three achievements, then I started my pc the other day, tried to start PCM and it crashed directly after the opening cinematic.
I saw this thread and tried the things CrueTrue told in his post, but this didnt work. Then I tried re-installing, quit syncing with steam cloud.. Any other suggestions? |

If you reset the game, then i MUST work, therefore I am pretty sure that you did something wrong.
Do this:
1. Unistall the game (you do not need to deactivate it)
2. Reset the game by following the description above line by line (including show hidden folders)
3. Delete the pcm folder in C:\program files\ (or where ever you had installed the game)
4. Restart the computer
5. Search your computer for anything called "Cycling"
6. If you find something and it seems related to the game, delete it as well
7. Install the game (don't reactivate it unless you deactivated it before)
8. Run the game
9. Install the patch
10. Run the game
Post here if you don't know what I mean or if there was a problem with one of the steps. Do not skip any of the steps, else I cannot help you any further. |

When I try to run the game the first time, it does not patch automatically and it crashes again. When I install the patch manually, it does not install it in the right directory, it crashes again when I try to run.
Then I copied it to the right folder (the patch files) and tried to run it again. It crashed. I just sent an email to Steam, as I want my money back or my game to work.
Any suggestions here? |

If it worked before but not after a total fresh install, then your computer must have been messed up. No suggestions left from my side.

The crash now has changed. It does not tell me Pro Cycling Manager 2012 is not responding... But immediately quits PCM and goes to the crash reporter of Cyanide, which doens't work. |

I just thought about something from the official forum last year:
Black or white screen at the start, or crash
For many reasons, Pro cycling Manager may not start properly. Here are some tricks to try to solve the problem :
-launch the game in admin mode;
-shut down the antivirus : some antivirus simply cut the applications with no warning;
-launch the game from Program files instead of autorun.
-skip the start videos : A codec problem may prevent the game from starting. You can rename the 'videos' folder in your installation folder.
-Change the 'my documents' folder : rename your 'Pro Cycling Manager 2011' folder in 'my documents', but don't delete it ! if the game starts, a new Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder will be built. You can then try to add the files from the former folder and identify which file is corrupted. Most of the time, the murderer is 'local.cdb'.

I have just bought the game and it won't load a 3d race. The game has worked on my laptop before in the 2010 version any suggestions gratefully received. |

I fixed it. When I started it up with steam, every new PCM 2012 map was corrupted, so I downloaded a torrent, registered with my bought key and that version does work. So actually steam made my game crash, therefore I suggest to always buy the real disk. |

I have the same problem. My Steam version does not work. I really don't wanna download a torrent with the game. Isn't there some way to make the Steam version work? Right now I can't even load the game. It crashes after the opening cinematic. And I've tried everything suggested in this thread, even redownloading and reinstalling. |
