Skipping a section?

Does anybody know how to skip a section on the PS3/Xbox version. I have heard you can do this, and hate playing the first section of the game. Any help?

The option is on the screen can't rememeber exactly, maybe when you pick your rider or the screen before. On XBox it's "B" SKIP
