Hi there!
Just bought the game and installed it through Parallel Desktop. But when I try to start nothing really happens, the game won't open.
do you guys have any suggestions on what's causing the problem?

What is parallel desktop?
Did it install properly so is the copy protection installed as well?
Did you try to start the game directly by double clicking pcm.exe |

parallel desktop is (supposed to be) the same as bootcamp.
Yes, I typed the license key, so I think the protection should be installed. When I start the game from pcm.exe nothing happens. The screen just "blinks" once. |

I tried to install directx 9.0c, but that didn't help.
Any other suggestions? |

I changed the name of the folder in "my documents" as your link recommended. When I then launched the game this pop-up came up.
" The graphics auto-configuration utility was unable to identify your video card. Default settings were applied, but these may be changed via the Options page. Over-optimistic settings may lead to poor game performance"
After this message,nothing happens

Don't know how to insert a picture file, so I just quoted the pop-up
" The graphics auto-configuration utility was unable to identify your video card. Default settings were applied, but these may be changed via the Options page. Over-optimistic settings may lead to poor game performance"

My google search told me that Parallel desktop is not the same as bootcamp.
https://en.wikiped...(software)
https://en.wikiped...op_for_Mac
But are you sure that your graphic card is strong enough to run the game?
Also I doubt that you can play this game if you are running Microsoft Windows in a virtual desktop within Mac OS. So if the graphic card should be strong enough, then make sure to run the game in Windows directly and not in Windows within MacOS.

An emulator software only 'simulates' an operating system. When you run your game through Parallel Desktop then your processor, memory and graphic card have to handle not only the emulated Windows operating system, but also the OSX operating system which still runs in the background. On top of that you also run your game, which takes (relatively) a lot of ressources. I would never run a game through a emulator.
An emulator is good if you are on MAC and you just want to run a program as for example Excell. For games I would recommend to install BootCamp and run Windows native.
I am using this for years, and it works perfectly with Windows7. And yes, I am also running PCM12
