If it works smoothly and with no problems, set few things higher than before and check the game.
If it runs slower, you will have to play on the setting you set before.
If it runs smooth again, up your graphics settings and do this until you hit the best graphics for best performance and no lag.
And up the things you find important first. If you don't care about spectators, just forget about them.
