Editing stages in standard database?
Ian Butler
I can't seem to edit races in the standard database editor of PCM 2012. Is this correct?

I just realized now... I'm surprised and angry at the same time.ShockAngry

I usually edit races to play them in single mode but until now I don't know how to edit races. I have tried with Cyanide's editor and with others that I have but there's no way for me to edit the races.

I hope somebody tell us how to edit the races. Using other editors in the sta_stage there is no stage name or something, only a idstage that only God will know where it points...

Please some help friends! Thanks in advance for your answers.Wink

No reason to be angry, just because the columns have changed.

Open STA_race and STA_stage, as always.

In STA_race, notice gene_sz_filename. As the column says, this now defines the file names.

In STA_stage, most stuff is now automatically filled out by the game (which I'm not a fan of, but anyway). Keep an eye on the ID iof the stages, though.

If the race ID is 294, ID of stage 1 should be 1294, stage 2 2294, stage 3 3294 etc.

Any chance to change the time_gap ?

In 2011 it was in sta_stage gene_f_time_gap. Now it has been gone... I hate this slow final sprints and unrealistic gaps between two groups. Rolling Eyes

Unfortunately, Cyanide decided to let the game decide this.

And what about fkIDstage_type, fkIDrelief, gene_b_HasCobble?

I guess all these variables are now in the stage file, which is somehow understandable because it will become easier to add and replace stages but this totally breaks my season planner.

Cyanide fucked up their season planner and because they changed the database, it would maky my season planner much less useful, superb.

It'd been better had you worked for Cyanide!
