Decided to stop for a moment on this and release it to see how it holds up, simply can't see any code anymore and losing my motivation on this so best is to stop on it for a moment and see if users can work with it. I'm not 100% sure if all new/fired riders gets flushed/added at the end of a year, so that's something to keep in mind. Will update that and other little things in time. But probably won't work on this much more since i've heard the new PCM will probably use a different DB. I must stress out that it's not supereasy to use, it needs some familiarization.
What it does:
- Track info/stats on cyclists like moral, form, rankings, stats etc.
- Track team info and finances like, race bonusses, rankings, nationalities etc.
- Calendar where you have a monthly calendar of races and where you can 'match' cyclists to races he's likely to obtain a good result
- Organize your screenshots (cropping can be done too) and exported results of your career.
- Report function wich is able to pull info/screenshots and fill and word template with that info (stage screenshots, results etc.)
- etc. etc. etc.
Some examples/info can be found here:

Before you start you need to:
- Extract the RAR file and put it in C:\ so it will look like "C:\PCMSTAT_TEMP\" (the actual Excel (.XLS) file you can put anywhere on your HD though, if desirable)
-- Jpgs folder holds all the GUI graphics (flags, minishirts, riderpics and some other files used for the excel userfors(so don't empty this directory, just add you GUI DDS(converted to jpgs) if necessary). In the sub-folders (general graphics in general, charts and date related in a sub-folder for each year you play) you'll find your graphics as created/referenced by the PCMSTAT tool.
-- Templates folder holds all the templates used to push data from PCMstat to Word, if you want to add custom templates, create a .DOT word template, copy it to the templates folder, and create a jpg thumbnail with the same name for each template(necessary else they wont show up, just create a screenshot of the template or sh).
-- Backups folder holds all the backups made of your PCM savegame and the Excel PCMstat file(.XLS), there's a button on the settings/update page to create an backup of either your savegame or excel file automatically.(I recommend doing this at least 3/4 times a year)
-- Programmes folder holds all the contains the software you need to install in next step, the DDS converter for batch converting DDS->JPG and a couple of Word->JPG converters to quickly take a hi-res screenshot of your document to post on the web.(All legal/freeware programs)
-- Reports folder i solely use to store my (end) graphics and stuff, so not important.
- Install Imagemagick and tick the "Install ImagemagickOLE object control for VB, VBSCRIPT....." option (used for handling graphics trough Excel VBA)
- Use the DDS converter to convert all rider pics, team minishirts and country flags to jpgs and put them in the jpgs\ folder (altough most files are already in, if you want the same graphics as your DB do it anyway, also new/custom DB can have teams/riders in them that are currently not in jpgs folder since i used a 'standard' 50 teams DB. )
- In Excel goto -> Tools -> Options then navigate to the "Security" Tab and click "Macro Security", set your "Macro Securty" to "Medium" or lower and on the "Trusted Publishers" tab tick the "Trust access to Visual Basic project" option. (Set this back if necesarry, cause your vulnerability for virus/malware is much bigger when working with 'untrusted' macros/files !)
Now start the PCMstat Excel file
- First click the top most gray button in the upper right corner of the "General" worksheet, fill in your name and select your PCM savegame.
- Now click the gray button under that one and select the team you play with. All necesarry info is now loaded in the excel file, altough you first need an update to let the riders pages be populate with info/stats. After the first time you done it there is no need to touch/click or alter anything else on any sheet (except for "TempG" sheet though if you want to alter the appearance/settings of the charts) everything is done trough the userform/menu.
- Click the "Main Menu" button and go to the settings tab and click "Update" to update the excel file with the most recent data of you PCM savegame. That's it, everything else is done automatically. So all you have to do is click the "Update" button once in a while(Minimum interval is 7 days if it's lower it won't update to limit the ammount of data, so i recommend updating once every 7 days or something)
Some remarks
- If you get some messages like "You need to build an exception rule for Race xxxx" that means that there are some races that did not get there 'properties' like type of race an the weight of the character. To avoid errors if you want to use the "Calendar" page, wich gives you an monthly calendar of the races and can match a cyclist to certain races wich suits his abbilities, goto the "TempR" worksheet. In Column "F" check if all races have a category assigned and NOT a number, if it's a number, change it to a category and check the columns "Q" to "Z" and fill in a weigh for each character if necessary. Altough all of this can also be done on the "Settings" page of the main menu, at the first start/update of a new game i'd prefer to do it this way.
- Some tools are either not fully developed or simply diasbled, f.ex. palmares reader is disabled, some calendar functions are limited, too name a couple. Also the Calendar function can only hold a certain amount of races (4 simultaneous races per day), wich means that DBs with much new added races, where there are more then 4 races for a given day, can't be accessed to lookup the stage details(since the 5th and up race will be combined in the 4th column). Still everything else should work fine.
- The report function is simply a word template in wich keywords are searched, in the main PCMstat folder there is an word doc(bookmarksreference.doc) where all keywords you can use are listed. The bookmarks should contain text, wich means when you create a bookmark, select the text first, then goto add->bookmark. Beceause you can also create a bookmark without selecting text, wich you should NOT do in this case.
-= Download from PCM.daily =-
if you have MS office 2003 you probably have it, but if not and you get an missing DLL error, you need MS common controls DLL, download it here;

Probably much more info to add, but either it's too late or i can't come up with it, will add it later if necesary.
