Agree with Failured so far. If you have 2011 or 2010 it's hard to recommend. If you're still playing PCM 1994 then it might be worth it by now. Still, it's like Christmas ... you've gotta buy it really, no?

Just buy it.. For the whole year you will wonder, if you should have bought it.
I like to think at it this way: Maybe the game has its bugs, but I'm still playing it 100+ hours a year.. So worth the money
I bought it and have no regrets, Last patch improved some usability issues with the HUD, which disturbed me the most. The game runs more smooth on my laptop compared with PCM11, so i can run higher graphical settings.
Ofcourse some AI flaws (small ones, but results pretty realistic), but i have good hopes that those will be resolved some day.
I'm loving it to be honst. I don't see many flaws, and the gameplay seems to have improved quite a bit for me. Idk bout you, but I like the subtle details that have been improved, so go for it! Its only 39 bucks anyway...

I dont get it, majority of people says it is complete shite and some are delighted. This way, we will never push Canide, when people will like to be fooled out.

The career seems nice enough, like the new calendar thingy, but the gameplay and not the old online system is almost a deal breaker for me. This is the first time I've doubted buying PCM and feels like I've wasted 40 bucks right now. Hopefully Cyanide will release good patches, including the old online system. If they don't, that's really disappointing. Armada is nice, but not alone.
And the interface is just weird, so much empty space all over.

In live the people who hate things the most will stand out above those who are happy at the moment

Those who are unhappy with PCM are quickly to return here and crap about it, but those who are, are probably still playing non-stop

I obviously wish for more. But Cyanide are a business, the main priority is making money. Sure the deletion of online play is ridiculous, but I was never a huge online player. Armada is a flashy attempt for more buyers, but it will work, and more people will buy it, and 8 year olds with rich parents will spend small fortunes on it. What do you expect? A game with be a pro, awesome mountian play, perfect simulation, every race in the world? Get real. Cyanide aren't as big as EA Sports or 2k Games, they are a small-ish European based games company, and for my 39 dollars, which is about a third of what most people pay for a full-fledged PC title, I'm satisfied. I haven't been "fooled out", I just have realistic expectations and they were met.
@Johan92 How have you been dissapointed by the gameplay? What were you expecting that you did not get?

You completly didnt get my point. I expect them to repair the well known bugs for years and what they do? Remove best part of the game and bugs are still there, gosh they piss into our drink and we say "Excellent, thanks".
I dont want huge budget game, all these ultimate and minitransaction shites could decay at the junkyard of history, only children are interested in them and those who dont know how to spend money....this discussion could last forever,as some wants qulity and some are satisfied with less.
And nothing personnal Teddy.

Obviously nothing personal.
I just think that some people overestimate what the game will be, and get dissapointed year after year. Although it could obviously be better, and I hate that lots of bugs haven't been fixed, I just appreciate what we have been given, instead of bitching year after year about how these wishes haven't been granted.

Anyway, I'm gonna go play PCM 12.
This is bussiness Tedy, when you are not geting what you want, despite pointing it out for years, you have to bitch. Because it is your money they are getting, you (we) are the bosses.
In every other industrial branch it would not be possible, because you must orientate on customer and if it is not 110% as the customer want, you have no deal and the competiton gets it (this is the biggest problem,no competition here). unfortunately not many people are aware about elemental economics logic and sentence "I just appreciate what we have been given" is the biggest weapon in hands of someone who wants your money...
And i am not bitching yar after year, i am new to the pcm communities despite playing it for years, i was bitching at home earlier
Teddy The Creator wrote: @Johan92 How have you been dissapointed by the gameplay? What were you expecting that you did not get?
First of all the pace, when you pace with good riders in the mountains you expect that less good riders will fall off. However it's too easy to stay in the peloton, even though the pace is hard. 100+ riders is simply too many riders left in the peloton after a hard pace. This is mix between the wind and the gameplay mainly introduced with PCM10, since then it's been hard to create gaps. It's better now, but not perfect yet. Just in general it seems like you have to make the race yourself, every time. However, I like that the semi favourites attacks far from the line. That's a very nice improvement. Also have to test a bit more regarding defensive and not pacing favourites. More active favourites has been a problem for a long time.
