You don’t need to dl v 1.0.1 to make this work. Just read the readme incl. in the dl for version 1.0.1 cuz its features are in this db too.
Users of the previous version can continue their career game with this new DB. But if you start a new career you will benefit from the following new features:
New Features:
- Message on the exact day a rider was caught doping in this season or suspended (you need to remove em manually though if you don’t want to have em in from that point on)
- The specality of each trainer can now be seen MO(untain),CL(assic),YR(young rider),SP(rint),TT (timetrial)
- Added 91 new continental teams
- Added 1031 new riders (incl. pics total rider amount now 2976)
- The following doped riders from 2006 will be available after season 2007 or season 2008 depending on their suspension: ATAPUMA Alex, GRAU Oscar, BASSO Ivan ,COTUMBA Juan, Scarponi Michele,Soepenberg Ger,Kessler Matthias,Jaksche Joerg
- New season goals for all pro tour teams and some cont teams
- All races now give points and price money
- Added 23 more classic one day races + 3 tours
- Added 67 more sponsors making a total of 227
- Updated Race participation for the teams
- total staff amount upped to 2890
- Astana removed from vuelta, tour de pologne, Deutschland tour
- Small possibility that one of your riders might get caught doping
previous Features:
- one texture per rider activated by default
- Cyanides Vuelta 2008 bug fixed
- new frames, wheels, helmets
- new scouting zone and training camp in Mexico
- new secondary sponsors
- 161 new races added
- new World Champ race (Mountain TT)
- fair stats with huge potential for this years revelations
- real names and pics for all cont and pro tour races and for all sponsors and riders
- certain TT equipment can be used in Mountain TT
- huge amount of race variations for your career gameplay
- riders caught doping retire after 2007 season
- incl. manager photos
- incl. myas 3d pack (cyclist ref fix, new champs elysee etape)
- incl. ultimate shirt package for all Pro and Cont Teams .
Downsides on this DB: didn’t added sponsor logos for the new teams, instead you will see the teamshirt as logo (you can add the logo for your fav team yourself. just make a small pic and replace the existing one in the logo folder). Only made minor race programs for the new teams, you need to plan most of the time the season yourself. Objectives for the new teams are random atm. Didn’t figured out how to remove dopers properly, messed with contracts, injuries everything I could thing about, but it didn’t work.

Since I don’t know so many continental teams I orientated myself on the PPDB v 4.0 DB for PCM 2006 and took the team names from there.
And don’t try to play with the doped riders team. There not selected for any race and they don’t ride in races if you don’t play that team. Its up to you if you want to hire these riders after there contract (equal to the time of suspension) is done with the doped team.

How does the "doping" aspect work? Do you notice any difference on the rider. Or is it just a case of throwing a dice into the air and concluding that Rider #1328 is a cheating bastard?

i upload a fix (officialrelease.cdb) to solve that there are only a few trainers available in 2h or 3h after my lunch. maybe wait until then if you wanna start a career.
sry for that but i didn't noticed that even though it should have been obvious that so many teams need trainers. |
