So, with all the new reporters I'm obviously under pressure to up my game, with an epic review, and this should be an easy tour to hype, given that we have Cunego vs Ricco. But I've had a shit day, so I'll just say that the only reason the big names are here is because they are scared of the competition in Europe, and are trying to steal some easy points in South America. So it serves them right that they still ran into each other.

Will be fun to see how Uran can do in his home tour - would love it if the home bonus allows him to challenge Cunego

Looking at the startlist, Machado has a chance for a Top-5 (which would be great).
I think the breakaways will play a big part though.

Ardila did well this season. And considering the fact that this is his home race, I expect a top 10.

Henao Montoya is back in his home country, well I thought top 5 would be huge here, but when I look at this startlist, I think that top 5 is almost a must here!

Can't this be a 21 day Tour, instead of the Tour of America? Much more interesting, and the Cunego vs Ricco fight should be interesting to watch. Uran and Henao with nationality bonus could surprise. |

Hoping that Serpa can surprise, also with his @ home bonus. He has been climbing well this season, so deducting crashes and stupid drops he should be doing a top 10 here. Also I'm hoping for Bøchman and Reynes to get in the attacks in the first stages.

Seems like this is the race that will seal Spyker's fate |

Hopefully Dan can do a bit better than he did at the Tour...

I've been looking forward to this race, I have a feeling we will get a suprise (= Cunego not winning), and that atleast 1 of the home racers will be on the podium. For some reason I feel Henao will win the entire thing (my feelings tend to be wrong though)
Anyway, really looking forward to reading about this race

Epic quote. Will be interesting nonetheless.

Looking forward to this race. Will be an very interesting one as Cunego/Ricco will be faced to a big row of Columbians that will give everything. Uran and Henao for the podium probably still behind Cunego.
Will probably be exciting until the very last stage as this one looks the most difficult. |

Nothing but looking for some breaks here for me. I am a little surprised i didn't send Van Heerden here but if i get really lucky Farrar can place decently in the few flat stages.

Cunego has stronger support in this race - hope we can keep the break on a tight leash and grab the race lead on Stage 3.
My feeling is whoever gets the lead on that day will probably keep it due to the boosts the yellow jersey normally gets. Can't see Cunego losing to Ricco - Uran and Montoya are the ones I'm more concerned about.
Out of surviving in the PT and not winning here and winning here and not surviving I think I'd choose to take the glory of the win on home soil and go down. |

This has got to be the weakest TT lineup over the entire season:
Rigoberto Uran 78
Rein Taaramae 77
Ramunas Navardauskas 77
David Abal 77
Patrick Gretsch 77
Kristof Vandewalle 76
Gustavo Veloso 75
Nico Keinath 75
Chris Barton 75

I'm liking the look of that for a stage win opportunity for Uran!

I sent Erviti as a specialist for that reason, and as a 74 he could even top 10, although Cunego, RIcco and the like should beat him anyway.

Mainly my Tour team going here and after narrowly failing to take a stage there, I am pretty hopeful of getting something from this race.
There are very few top quality sprinters here, opening it up for Impey and on any of the hilly and mountainous days I fancy a good chance in a breakaway. The last three stages look set for GC - I think this may go like the Vuelta a Tachira did in the CTour in that the first mountain stage will not be a big GC shakedown.
