I just found out that Giro D'Italia 1912 was a Giro where only the team classification counted, and each team had 4 or 3 riders. I like that idea, I think they should make a tour like that nowadays, maybe with different rules (more team-rules).
Maybe 4 rider for every team, and they have to stay together, though there won't be many attacks then... Or maybe they could make 4 different kinds of riders in that tour, 1 must be an attacker, 1 must be ... Something like that?
I think it might be interesting considering something like it, it would be a big variation to cycling.

I'm also pretty sure it won't happen, but I said it might be interesting to consider it, to think about it.
But as you said, it probably will never happen. People are scared of change |

Also, "Supergiro d'Italia" is the name Cyanide uses because they don't have the rights to use the real name. The actual name is just "Giro d'Italia".
Remember that...

Funny since they had a Special Giro game only a year or two ago, with extra commentary in Italian and stuff.
You'd think they'd have the license.

There is the Halfords Tour Series that does that, a bunch of Criterium races where the top 3 riders per team decide the points.
Only problem is the races are a little dull.

That's what I figured. In those days it must've been fun with the trains they could take and the fact that they had to fix their own bikes if they broke, going to the smith and all. |

Its teams of 5 riders but only the first 3 across the line count
I agree with you though it can be a bit boring, but the crashes do add a bit of drama though |
